Land vehicles adapted for use as electric delivery vehicles

Land vehicles are disclosed. A land vehicle includes a frame structure, a plurality of wheels supported by the frame structure, and a body supported by the frame structure. The frame structure includes an operator cage that at least partially defines an operator cabin and a rear compartment positioned rearward of the operator cage in a longitudinal direction. The body includes a first sidewall arranged on one side of the vehicle and a second sidewall arranged on another side of the vehicle opposite the first sidewall.

Caliper braking system for aircraft landing gear having a plurality of brake disk clamping zones

A braking system for aircraft landing gear including a plurality of clamping zones for clamping a brake disk. The braking system comprises an actuator, a caliper, a rim rotatable about an axis of rotation, and the brake disk, which is floatingly mounted relative to the rim. The caliper comprises a stationary inner support, a movable intermediate support, and an outer support that is hinged relative to the inner support. Under action of the actuator, the movable intermediate support moves and causes the brake disk to move so that the brake disk is clamped between the intermediate support and the outer support, and then causes the outer support to tilt so that the brake disk is clamped between the inner support and the outer support.

Brake Dust Particle Filter and Disc Brake Assembly Comprising a Brake Dust Particle Filter

A brake dust particle filter for a disc brake assembly with brake disc and brake caliper has a ring segment-shaped housing accommodating the brake disc in the interior. The housing has first and second axially spaced apart housing sidewalls and a housing peripheral wall extending radially outwardly in circumferential direction and arranged between the first and second housing sidewalls. A first housing part includes the first and/or second housing sidewall such that the first and/or second housing sidewall is positionable axially displaced to the brake disc. A second housing part includes at least the housing peripheral wall. First and second housing parts are connected by a pivot mechanism having a pivot axis extending parallel to an axis of rotation of the brake disc. Due to the pivot mechanism, the housing peripheral wall is pivotable relative to the first housing part while the first and/or second housing sidewall remains stationary.

WHEEL DISC BRAKE ASSEMBLY

The invention at hand refers to a wheel disc brake assembly comprising a wheel rim, a coupler ring and an annular brake disc arranged in a concentric manner, wherein an outer surface of the coupler ring is connected to an inner surface of the wheel rim and an inner surface of the coupler ring is connected to an outer surface of the annular brake disc. The wheel disc brake assembly further comprises a caliper with at least two brake pads facing each other, wherein the caliper surrounds at least a part of the inner surface of the annular brake disc and the at least two brake pads are configured to press against opposite side faces of the annular brake disc.

Under action of the actuator, the movable intermediate support moves and causes the brake disk to move so that the brake disk is clamped between the intermediate support and the outer support, and then causes the outer support to tilt so that the brake disk is damped between the inner support and the outer support.

Electrorheological brake

A brake assembly is suitable for use with a vehicle wheel that has a rim rotatably mounted to an axle. The brake assembly includes a housing fixedly positioned relative to the axle and a plurality of disks disposed within the housing and fixedly positioned relative to the rim. A fluid is disposed within the housing and has a selectively variable viscosity. The viscosity of the fluid is selectively increased to increase a braking force applied to the wheel.
