The guide pin and a guide surface may have different cross sectional profiles to define at least one void therebetween. The wear sensor may be at least partially accommodated within the void.

Disk brake for a utility vehicle

The invention relates to a disk brake for a utility vehicle, comprising a brake caliper, which extends over a brake disk and which is slidably held on at least one guide bar, which is connected to a stationary brake bracket by means of a screw, wherein the screw is fed through the guide bar, is designed in such a way that the guide bar has impressing elements, which are formed on the end face of the guide bar that lies against the brake bracket, at least in a circumferential and/or radial partial region, which impressing elements engage into the brake bracket in an impressed manner in such a way that an interlocking connection and/or a frictional connection is formed.

FLOATING-TYPE DISC BRAKE

A floating disc brake includes an outer pad disposed on an axially outer side relative to a rotor, an inner pad disposed on an axially inner side relative to the rotor, a fixing member disposed on the axially inner side relative to the rotor, the fixing member being configured to support the inner pad to be movable in an axial direction and being fixed to a vehicle body, and a yoke supported to the fixing member by a slide pin to be movable in the axial direction, the yoke supporting the outer pad. The fixing member is provided with an anchor disposed on a radially outer side relative to the rotor, the anchor being configured to bear a brake tangential force that acts on the outer pad at the time of braking within a circumferential range of a lining constituting the outer pad.

Disc brake and disc brake for railway vehicles

A disc brake (11) includes: a floating caliper (13) including a base portion (25) slidably supported by an upper guide pin (31) supported by a support (23), a piston side pressing arm (39) and an opposite piston side pressing arm (41); a pair of brake pads (17); a drive piston (15) provided on the piston side pressing arm (39); a caliper return mechanism (22) for elastically biasing the base portion disposed on an end portion of the guide pin (31) to the side opposite to the drive piston side; and an inner circumferential side washer (44) disposed on both sides in an axial direction of the rubber ring (21) elastically supporting the upper guide pin (31) in a radial direction to restrict an inner circumferential portion of the rubber ring (21) from bending deformation along an axial direction of the upper guide pin (31).

CALIPER BODY, PIN AND ELASTIC ELEMENT ASSEMBLY; BRAKE CALIPER; PIN ASSEMBLY; CALIPER BODY; AND ASSEMBLY METHOD FOR A PAD SUPPORTING PIN INTO A CALIPER BODY OF A VEHICLE

A caliper body, pin and an elastic element assembly having a caliper body, a brake pad supporting pin, and an elastic element is provided. The elastic element is fitted on the brake pad supporting pin. The brake pad supporting pin has portions that can be accommodated in a caliper body first housing and in a caliper body second housing made in the caliper body without interfering in an axial direction with surfaces of the caliper body having an extension in a radial direction. The elastic element is accommodated in a first housing first portion of the caliper body first housing. The elastic element abuts against a first housing abutment portion to define a limit stop of the brake pad supporting pin in the caliper body.

Brake pad retraction device

A brake assembly comprising: (a) a caliper; (b) two or more brake pads; (c) one or more pins connecting each the two or more brake pads to the caliper; (d) a retraction device connected to one or more of the one or more pins, the retraction devices including: (i) a lock that connects to an end of the pin opposite a caliper; and (ii) a bias device located between the lock and one of the two or more brake pads; wherein during a brake apply each of the two or more brake pads are moved towards the respective retraction device compressing the bias device between the lock and one of the two or more brake pad so that upon release of the brake apply the retraction device applies a retraction force to the one of the two or more brake pads.

GUIDE ASSEMBLY

A guide assembly for a disc brake. The guide assembly includes a receiving portion of a brake carrier that receives a sleeve portion of a guide pin. The sleeve portion and receiving portion have corresponding non-circular cross-sectional profiles that restrict rotation of the sleeve portion relative to the brake carrier when the sleeve portion is received and aligned in the receiving portion. The present invention further relates to a disc brake that includes a brake carrier, a caliper, and at least one guide assembly and a method of manufacture.

Hub and rotor assembly

A disc brake rotor and hub assembly for a heavy-duty vehicle. The disc brake rotor and hub assembly includes a hub portion. The hub portion is receivable on, and rotatable about, an axle spindle of a heavy-duty vehicle. A rotor portion includes a disc segment, a mounting segment and a cylindrical sleeve segment connecting the disc segment to the mounting segment. A flange portion connects with the rotor portion and separately with the hub portion. Optionally, the rotor portion connects directly to the hub portion. A smallest inner dimension of the rotor portion is greater than a largest outer dimension of the hub portion to facilitate removal of the rotor portion without removing the hub portion from the axle spindle.
