A drum brake assembly and method for designing the assembly are provided. The assembly includes a brake spider, a pair of brake shoes pivotally coupled to the brake spider at one end, and a pair of cam followers disposed at opposite ends of the brake shoes. The assembly further includes a camshaft having a shaft disposed along a rotational axis and a cam disposed at one end of the shaft. The cam has an inboard side proximate the shaft, an outboard side distant from the shaft and a cam surface extending between the inboard and outboard sides in engagement with the cam followers. The camshaft further includes a noise reducing mass disposed on the outboard side of the cam. The mass is configured to establish a natural frequency in the cam that differs from a natural frequency of the first and second brake shoes to reduce audible noise.

Method for producing a carrier body having a damper mass for changing the vibration for a brake lining of a disk brake

In order to further improve a method for producing a carrier body for a friction lining of a disk brake, in such a way that the rigid connection between a friction-lining carrier plate of the carrier body and a first damper mass of the carrier body is more robust, a force directed perpendicularly towards the first pin-shaped project is exerted, according to the invention, by means of pressing until the first pin-shaped projection is compressed to such an extent that the first pin-shaped projection forms, within the first hole, a form closure with an inner wall of the first hole in some regions.

BRAKE LINING FOR RAILWAY VEHICLE AND DISK BRAKE FOR RAILWAY VEHICLE INCLUDING THE SAME

A disclosed brake lining includes first and second friction member blocks, fastening members, spring members disposed in the fastening members, and a base plate. Each of the first friction member blocks including friction members is elastically fastened to the base plate by two of the fastening members that pass through the spring member and a first back plate. The two of the fastening members are disposed along a circumference of a circle centered around an axle. Each of the second friction member blocks including friction members is elastically fastened to the base plate by three of the fastening members that pass through the spring member and a second back plate. Two of the fastening members lying on opposite ends of each of the second friction member blocks are disposed along a circumference of a circle around the axle.

The invention relates to a motor vehicle actuator, in particular a brake actuator, comprising a housing (3) which consists of a housing container (1) and a housing cover (2) designed as a base support, and in which an electric motor (4) and a transmission (6) coupled to the electric motor via a torque transmitting device (5) are arranged. A retaining frame which can be arranged on the housing cover (2) is provided in order to arrange the electric motor (4) within the housing (3). The invention is characterized in that the holding frame (7) is designed as a damping and/or spring device.

BRAKE LINING FOR A RAILWAY VEHICLE AND DISK BRAKE EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME

This brake lining includes: a plurality of friction members which are arranged to be spaced from each other, each of the friction members having a front surface that is to face a sliding surface of a brake disk; a back board fastened to a back surface of each of the friction members; a base plate that supports each of the friction members at a region including a center portion of each friction member; and an elastic member disposed between the base plate and the back board, on a back surface side of each friction member. Two friction members that are adjacent to each other are taken as a pair, and the back board is fastened to each of the pairs of friction members. In each pair of friction members, the two friction members are arranged along the circumferential direction of the brake disk.
