11608045 · 2023-03-21 · ·

A system and method of checking sealing of a brake caliper housing. The method may include determining a level of moisture in a cavity of a brake caliper housing with a sensor. In another configuration, the method may determine whether a detected pressure inside the cavity remains stable for a predetermined period of time.

A brake caliper has a fixed seat. The fixed seat has a first brake lining and a second brake lining. The fixed seat further has a first piston and a second piston that can be pushed by hydraulic oil. A movable seat is slidably disposed on the fixed seat. The movable seat has a link portion that can link the first brake lining and a drive unit that can push the second piston mechanically. The first piston and the second piston can be pushed hydraulically to drive the first brake lining and the second brake lining for braking. The drive unit pushes the second piston to drive the second brake lining, and pushes the movable seat to drive the first brake lining for braking.

A SUSPENSION DEVICE OF A MOTOR- VEHICLE WHEEL

A suspension device of a motor-vehicle wheel includes a support member of the motor-vehicle wheel connectable to the motor-vehicle structure by means of one or more suspension members, a brake disc connected in rotation with the motor-vehicle wheel, a brake caliper associated with the brake disc and a brake disc cover. The brake caliper is formed in a single piece with the support member of the motor-vehicle wheel by means of additive manufacturing technology.

Mounting for a guide pin of a disc brake

A mounting for a guide pin of a disc brake and method of mounting. A mounting portion of a guide pin may have a first polygonal cross-sectional profile. A receiving portion of a brake carrier may receive the mounting portion and may have cross-sectional profile that is different than the first polygonal cross-sectional profile.

BRAKE PAD; PAD ASSEMBLY; BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

A brake pad may have at least one plate. The plate may be provided with a first slot. The first slot may have a first slot edge adapted to accommodate a first pin. The first slot edge may have a first portion and a second portion, in which the brake pad has a tangential center-of-gravity plane. The first and second portions may be crossed by the tangential center-of-gravity plane so that under a reverse braking condition the brake pad rests against the first pin in at least a first contact point of the first slot. Under a forward braking condition the brake pad rests against the first pin in at least a second contact point of the first slot in which the second contact point of first slot lies in the tangential center-of-gravity plane.

BRAKE PAD, BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY, DISC BRAKE

A brake pad may have at least one plate and at least one friction material supported by the plate. The friction material surface may have a barycenter. The plate may have a first slot and a second slot. The first slot may have a first slot edge adapted to accommodate a first pin mounted on the caliper body. The second slot may have a second slot edge adapted to accommodate a second pin mounted on the caliper body. In a forward braking condition, the brake pad rests on the first pin with a first slot first portion, and the brake pad rests on the second pin with a second slot first portion. The first slot is arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the barycenter and the second slot is arranged in a radially inner position with respect to the barycenter. The first slot and the second slot may be radially external with respect to a barycenter circumference centered on a rotation axis and passing through a barycenter.

The present disclosure relates to a force transmission apparatus for a disc brake, The apparatus comprises an actuation element, a brake liner arrangement having a brake liner and a carrier plate, and a pressure element. The pressure element has a thickness which extends toward the actuation direction, a length extending in a tangential direction of an associated brake disc in an installed state and a width which extends in a radial direction of an associated brake disc in the installed state. The pressure element has a force input side operationally connected to the actuation element and a force output side. The force output side has contact regions spaced apart from each other and operationally connected to the carrier plate. The force output side has a region which is recessed into the pressure element. The recessed region has a first reinforcement web which connects the contact regions to each other such that the first reinforcement web is not recessed or is recessed less than the recessed region.

Bicycle caliper

The disclosure provides a bicycle caliper including a casing assembly and a plurality of pistons. The casing assembly has a first fluid inlet, a second fluid inlet, a first fluid channel, a plurality of piston chambers, and a second fluid channel. The first fluid channel has a first connection opening and a second connection opening opposite to each other. The first connection opening and the second connection opening of the first fluid channel are respectively in fluid communication with the first fluid inlet and the second fluid inlet. The first fluid channel penetrates through the piston chambers. Two opposite openings of the second fluid channel are respectively in fluid communication with the first connection opening and the second connection opening of the first fluid channel, and the second fluid channel does not penetrate through the piston chambers. The pistons are respectively and movably disposed in the piston chambers.

A caliper brake for braking a moving component, including a housing and two brake shoes, which are movable within the housing toward the component to be braked, and a bearing part, which is movable within the housing by an actuator. The brake shoes each have a wedge surface on a side facing away from the component to be braked, by which a braking force acting on the bearing part is transmitted to the brake shoes with deflection and force multiplication. For higher braking forces using a spring-actuated brake, and to reduce the effects of spring travel on the braking force, the bearing part has offset bearing locations against which the wedge surfaces of each brake shoe bear. The wedge surfaces each have, in the region of the bearing locations, a step which is overcome during a closing movement of the brake shoes before they engage the component to be braked.
