The ends of the expander spring (10, 10′) may bear in each case directly on one of the retainer springs (6, 6′). The disc brake (1) may have a loss prevention device that is operatively connected to the expander spring (10, 10′) such that the expander spring (10, 10′), in the absence of the expansion force, is held on the disc brake (1).

A brake disk is attached to the output shaft, the brake disk being braked by a rear wheel brake caliper. The rear wheel brake caliper is fixed to a bracket that is arranged in the case member, and is disposed on the vehicle body upper side of the brake disk.

A brake assembly for an electric motor includes: a magnetic body, a winding, a bolt, a housing part with a brake surface, an armature disk, a brake pad plate, a shaft, a spring part, and a first bushing. The housing part is connected to the magnetic body by the bolt, with a positive fit in at least the circumferential direction. The first bushing is accommodated in a second bushing. The spring part supported on the housing part presses the first bushing and/or the second bushing toward the magnetic body. The radial clearance range covered by the armature disk includes the radial clearance range covered by the second bushing, and the axial region covered by the armature disk includes the axial region covered by the second bushing.

A removable brake cover apparatus is disclosed including a sidewall presenting frontal and posterior surfaces and a circumferential wall extending transversely from the sidewall to define a brake rotor receiving cavity adjacent the posterior surface of the sidewall. A brake caliper pocket having a limited circumferential extent is disposed along the sidewall and the circumferential wall to define a brake caliper receiving cavity adjacent the brake rotor receiving cavity. Engagement fingers extend radially into the brake caliper receiving cavity to engage a brake caliper received therein with an audible and/or tactile indicator defining a fully installed position of the brake cover apparatus. Locking recesses extend radially into the brake rotor receiving cavity to engage a brake dust shield received therein. Multiple ones of the brake cover apparatus disclosed are nestable with one another in a stacked arrangement wherein the engagement fingers and locking recesses perform locating and anti-rotation functions.

The main body is disposed adjacent to the rotor on an inside of the rotor in a vehicle width direction, that is disposed so as to overlap at least a part of the rotor when viewed from an axle direction, and that is disposed such that an outer circumferential edge portion thereof is separated from an inner circumferential surface of the rim. The extension extends from a part of the outer circumferential edge portion of the main body to an outer diameter side. The opening is formed in the main body, and air in a wheelhouse is introduced toward the rotor through the opening.
