DUST SHIELD FOR HEAVY-DUTY VEHICLE BRAKE SYSTEMS
A dust shield for a disc brake assembly of a heavy-duty vehicle, the dust shield comprising a central portion and a substantially flat portion. The flat portion is integrally formed with and extends radially outward from the central portion. The central portion extends axially inboard of and forms a flange axially-offset from and parallel to the flat portion to act as a stiffening rib to increase the natural frequency of the dust shield.
BRAKE ASSEMBLY HAVING A PAD SHIELD AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY
A brake assembly and a method of assembly. The brake housing may include a housing assembly, a retainer bracket, and a pad shield. The retainer bracket may be secured to the housing assembly. The pad shield may be installable onto and/or removable from the retainer bracket when the retainer bracket is secured to the housing assembly.
Caliper cover with biasly engaged mounts
A caliper cover has a first mount and a second mount which are configured to engage with opposing sides of a brake caliper. A cover is engaged to the first and second mounts with a pair of struts extending between the mounts and the cover. Each mount is configured for engagement to the caliper without tools through a sliding to a preliminary position and then by imparting pressure to flex the body of the mount to expand and compress upon opposite sides of the brake caliper.
Caliper specific decorative brake caliper cover set
A vehicle caliper cover set includes a plurality of caliper covers. Each caliper cover includes an inner surface sized and configured to be complementary in shape to an outer surface of one of the plurality of calipers. Each caliper cover further includes an outer surface having a medial portion and a lateral portion positioned in opposed relation to the medial portion. The inner and outer surfaces define a thickness therebetween, with the thickness being between 0.015-0.150 inches. Each caliper cover additionally includes a multi-sided opening extending from the inner surface to the outer surface, with the multi-sided opening being positioned between the medial and lateral portions of the outer surface.
BRAKING DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD
A braking system for safely collecting brake dust produced by operation of a braking mechanism. The braking system comprises a collector apparatus coupled with a braking mechanism. The collector apparatus is able to include a shroud that surrounds the braking mechanism and a catch element coupled with the shroud for collecting brake dust exiting the shroud. As a result, when coupled with the braking mechanism, the collector apparatus is able to ensure that most or all brake dust, such as copper or other particles from the braking mechanism that break off from the breaking mechanism during operation of the braking mechanism, are removed from the braking mechanism and collected by the filter/catch of the collector mechanism.
BRAKE WITH DUST RETAINING ASSEMBLY
A dust retainer for a brake system comprising a retainer receptacle mounted integrally to one or more components of the brake assembly, wherein the retainer receptacle comprises a drum have first and second open ends, one open end being secured to a component of the brake system and the other open end being closed by a dust retainer cap, the drum defining a space within which a brake disk of the brake system is located, in use, wherein removal of the dust retainer cap allows the brake disk to be removed from the open end of the retainer drum, and a removable drawer integrated in the drum. A fastening means to removably secure brake components to each other is also disclosed.
CALIPER HOUSING FOR A DISK BRAKE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A CALIPER HOUSING
The application relates to a caliper housing for a disk brake system. In addition, the application relates to a method for manufacturing a caliper housing. The proposed caliper housing comprises an inner part, an outer part, and a bridge part. The bridge part connects the inner part and the outer part. The caliper housing is formed by additive manufacturing such that a first region of the caliper housing and a second region of the caliper housing are formed and such that the first region has different material properties than the second region.

Disc brake, in particular for commercial vehicles, and holding unit for a cable of such disc brake
A system for mounting a signal cable to a disc brake includes a cover plate, an actuator opening in a region of the cover plate configured to allow passage of an actuation device, and a signal cable fixation member (80) for mounting the signal cable to the cover plate, the signal cable fixation member (80) including an attachment part (82) and a signal cable guiding part (84). The attachment part (82) engages with the cover plate and the signal cable guiding part (84) guides the signal cable towards a side edge of the cover plate. A connecting part (86) between the attachment part (82) and the signal cable guiding part (84) spaces apart a signal cable guide axis A of the signal cable guiding part (84) from an engagement axis B of the attachment part (82) by an offset d.
