BRAKE ASSEMBLY SHIELD AND SCRAPER
A brake assembly for a wheel on a vehicle includes a brake disc, a caliper assembly operably coupled to the brake disc, a brake line fluidly coupled to the caliper assembly, and a brake shield positioned adjacent a portion of the caliper assembly. The brake shield includes a first arm positioned on a first side of a portion of the brake disc and a second arm positioned on a second side of the portion of the brake disc. The brake disc further includes a recess configured to receive a portion of the brake line.
COVER PLATE FOR A DISC BRAKE
A cover panel (1) for a disc brake (2) for covering an installation opening (5) of the disc brake (2), wherein the disc brake (2) comprises a brake carrier (13) and a brake caliper (3) sliding on the brake carrier (13) axially in the direction of an application side (Z) or axially in the direction of a rim side (F).
HEAT SHIELD RETAINER AND METHOD
A heat shield assembly is disclosed. In various embodiments, the heat shield assembly includes a first heat shield segment having a first end and a second end spaced from the first end, the first end including a first hook member and the second end including a second hook member; and a first heat shield retainer including a first clip member configured to engage the first hook member and a second clip member.
CALIPER COVER WITH BIASLY ENGAGED MOUNTS
A caliper cover has a first mount and a second mount which are configured to engage with opposing sides of a brake caliper. A cover is engaged to the first and second mounts with a pair of struts extending between the mounts and the cover. Each mount is configured for engagement to the caliper without tools through a sliding to a preliminary position and then by imparting pressure to flex the body of the mount to expand and compress upon opposite sides of the brake caliper.
BRAKE DUST COVER
A brake dust cover is disposed between a non-rotating body rotatably supporting an axle and a disc rotor rotating together with the axle so as to cover the disc rotor from an inner side in a vehicle width direction. The brake dust cover includes a first plate-like member having a C-shape in which a part of a circular ring is cut out, and a second plate-like member coupled to the first plate-like member. The second plate-like member includes a fixed portion fixed to the non-rotating body, and a plurality of support portions extending radially from the fixed portion. The first plate-like member is coupled to the second plate-like member to overlap the support portions such that an opening portion is formed between an inner edge of the first plate-like member and an outer edge of the fixed portion of the second plate-like member when viewed in the vehicle width direction.
VEHICLE BRAKING SYSTEM
A vehicle braking system includes a splash guard: adjacently arranged on a vehicle body while facing a sliding part of a disc-shaped rotor which rotates about an axle; made of a plate-shaped member which includes multiple cooling holes each being a through-hole penetrating through a plate surface; and formed in a shape linearly symmetrical with respect to a symmetrical axis that is a straight line located on the plate surface and intersecting the axle.
BRAKING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A braking device for vehicle comprises a splash guard including a plate-like member arranged facing to a friction portion of a circular disk-shaped rotor with a wheel axis as a rotation center, arranged close to a knuckle W1 and mounted on the knuckle, wherein the splash guard includes a fixing plate fixed to the knuckle, a wall with holes standing up from the fixing plate towards the rotor, and a plurality of cooling holes configured with through-holes passing through the wall with holes, wherein the plurality of cooling holes include openings arranged along the wall with holes, and the opening areas of cooling holes arranged upper side of the wheel axis are set to be smaller than the opening area of a cooling hole arranged lower side of the wheel axis.
Braking device, system and method
A braking system for safely collecting brake dust produced by operation of a braking mechanism. The braking system comprises a collector apparatus coupled with a braking mechanism. The collector apparatus is able to include a shroud that surrounds the braking mechanism and a catch element coupled with the shroud for collecting brake dust exiting the shroud. As a result, when coupled with the braking mechanism, the collector apparatus is able to ensure that most or all brake dust, such as copper or other particles from the braking mechanism that break off from the breaking mechanism during operation of the braking mechanism, are removed from the braking mechanism and collected by the filter/catch of the collector mechanism.
Drive device
A drive device for driving and rotating a wheel includes an axle shaft, a hub to which rotation of the axle shaft is conveyed, a plurality of fasteners for securing the wheel to the hub, a wet brake, a housing, an oil seal, and a cover. The wet brake is configured to restrain the rotation of the axle shaft. The housing accommodates the axle shaft and the wet brake. The oil seal is disposed between the housing and a part of the hub that is disposed inward of the fasteners in a radial direction of the hub. The cover has an annular shape. The cover is disposed in a space formed between the hub and the housing, and is secured to the housing. The cover is configured to cover the plurality of fasteners.
BRAKE DUST COVER
A brake dust cover includes an annular plate in which a cutout for avoidance of a brake caliper is provided in a first predetermined angle region, and a cover portion that overhangs to one side in an axial direction of the annular plate and covers an outer peripheral surface of a brake disc rotor is included at an outer periphery of a second predetermined angle region. The annular plate includes a small diameter region disposed in a third predetermined angle region other than the second predetermined angle region. In the annular plate, an outer diameter of the third predetermined angle region is smaller than an outer diameter of the second predetermined angle region. The annular plate does not include, in the small diameter region, a portion that overhangs to one side in the axial direction of the annular plate and covers the outer peripheral surface of the brake disc rotor.
