A brake mounting bracket mountable onto a trailing arm or a steering knuckle in a vehicle is provided. The bracket includes first, second, and third bracket mounting holes through which the bracket is configured to be mounted to the trailing arm or the steering knuckle of the vehicle. The bracket additionally includes first and second caliper mounting holes through which a brake caliper is configured to be mounted to the bracket. The first and second bracket mounting holes are separated by a first dimension that is less than a second dimension between the second and third bracket mounting holes. The first and second caliper mounting holes are separated by a third dimension matching a spacing between first and second mounting holes of the brake caliper. The third dimension is greater than both the first and second dimensions.

Vehicle disc brake assembly having a brake pad with a shim mechanically restrained from lateral movement

A brake pad for a vehicle disc brake assembly has a backing plate, a shim, and an adhesive bond between the backing plate and the shim that retains the shim on the backing plate. The backing plate is configured to support a brake lining and has a recessed portion with transverse first and second surfaces. The first surface is a bottom surface of the recessed portion and the second surface is a perimeter surface that defines a perimeter of the bottom surface. The shim has a face surface that is also transverse to the bottom surface. The face surface is configured to engage with the perimeter surface to mechanically restrain the shim in the recessed portion from lateral displacement.

Sprinkler with brake assembly

In one aspect, a sprinkler is provided having a nozzle, a deflector that receives fluid flow from the nozzle, and a friction brake assembly that controls rotation of a deflector. The friction brake assembly is releasably connected to the frame in order to enhance serviceability of the sprinkler. In another aspect, a sprinkler is provided having a frame, a deflector rotatably connected to the frame, a nozzle, and a nozzle socket of the frame. The nozzle and nozzle socket have interlocking portions that releasably connect the nozzle to the frame. The nozzle may be easily removed for servicing. Further, the nozzle socket can be configured to receive a plurality of nozzles having different flow characteristics. A nozzle can be selected and utilized with the sprinkler according to the desired application for the sprinkler.

Vehicle disc brake

The present invention is a vehicle disc brake for which incorrect installation of a friction pad can be prevented with a simple structure. The disc brake is provided with incorrect installation-preventing parts with which, if a friction pad (4) is installed with an incorrect installation orientation when a pair of tabs (10, 11) provided on the disc entry-side and disc exit-side of the back plate (4d) of a friction pad (4) is installed into pad guide grooves (9) formed on a caliper body (3), the tabs bump into the caliper body (3) and prevent the incorrect installation. The incorrect installation-preventing parts are formed from caliper-side recesses (9d, 9e), which are formed in the pad guide grooves (9) towards the center of the caliper body, and tab-side protrusions (10a, 11a), which have shapes that correspond to the caliper-side recesses (9d, 9e).

DISC BRAKE LINING, ASSEMBLED DEPENDING ON THE DIRECTION OF ROTATION, FOR A FIXED CALIPER DISC BRAKE

A disc brake lining is assembled depending on the rotation direction and includes a backing plate to carry a friction material, having diametrically opposed sides configured to be free from friction material. The backing plate is formed asymmetrically with respect to a central axis, and has a bearing on the inlet side relative to a preferred direction of rotation and provided radially inwardly in relation to a central wheel rotational axis, radially offset below a brake piston axis, as a holder with a hole for receiving a retaining pin, defining a fixedly positioned friction lining fixed bearing. A guide is on an allocated outlet-side bearing of the backing plate, radially outwardly in relation to the central wheel rotational axis, radially offset above a brake piston axis. The guide is an open-edged mouth opening with a receiving pocket receiving a guide pin, and defines a fixedly allocated friction lining floating bearing.
