Brake disc mounting arrangement
An arrangement and method for mounting a brake disc to an axle hub of a vehicle is provided. The arrangement includes wedge-shaped holes at an radially inner region of the brake disc, corresponding wedge-shaped key inserts, a retaining device such as a retaining ring, and mounting devices such as bolts or studs and nuts that pass through the retaining ring and keys to bias the keys against the axle hub. The circumferential sides of the wedge shapes are aligned with radial lines extending from the rotation axis of the axle hub. This arrangement and method provides a simple, robust and easily installed brake disc mounting that minimizes heat transfer between the brake disc and the axle hub and accommodates thermal expansion of the brake disc and the axle hub to minimize thermal expansion-induced stresses to the brake disc.
BRAKING BAND OF A DISC FOR A DISC BRAKE OF THE VENTILATED TYPE
A braking band extends between an inner diameter and an outer diameter. The braking band has two plates having inner surfaces delimiting a gap, outer surfaces having opposite flat circumferential portions and a plate body having an extension in axial direction. The plates are joined by connecting elements. At least one plate has at least one projection projecting into the gap without reaching the opposite plate, forming a localized narrowing of the gap and a thickening of the plate body, creating a localized increase of the thickness of plate. The projection extends from a first connecting element to an adjacent connecting element, connecting them, and along the circumferential direction, connecting at least two adjacent connecting elements. A group of projections extends circumferentially along a discontinuous annular path, avoiding a uniform distribution in circumferential direction.
Autonomous retarder system for a vehicle, and vehicle including same
The invention relates to an autonomous retarder system for a vehicle including a retarder (10) having a central rotor (11) and two stators (12), one on each side of the rotor (11). The rotor (11) is rigidly coupled to an axle (1). A generator (20, 30, 50) is also included, coupled to the retarder (10), for supplying same with electrical energy. In addition, the generator (20, 30, 50) comprises a stator (22) and a rotor (21, 31, 51) coupled to the retarder.

COOLING DUCTS FOR DISC BRAKE CALIPER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
The present invention relates to a disc brake caliper body comprising a mounting side bracket and a non-mounting side bracket extending along a circumferential direction of the body, each bracket being configured to hold at least one brake pad. In order to provide improved cooling efficiency while maintaining the required stability of the brake caliper, the caliper body further comprises at least one cooling duct formed by additive manufacturing, at least one cooling duct being an integral part of the caliper body.
Disc brake, cooling control system thereof, and vehicle
A disc brake and a cooling controller, a control system and a control method, a brake disc of the disc brake includes a first basic plate and a second basic plate, jointed and forming a cavity. A fibrous body having a capillary structure is sandwiched between the first basic plate and the second basic plate, the fibrous body filling between the first basic plate and the second plate, and the fibrous body being formed in a ring shape and sleeves on an axle to receive cooling water from the axle and distribute the cooling water on inner walls of the first basic plate and the second basic plate. The cooling water is evenly distributed to prevent brake disc from fading under heat, and based on the disc brake, an additional automatic controlled cooling control system is provided to accurately control the amount of the cooling water, thereby saving water.
BRAKING DEVICE
A braking device configured to brake rotation of a shaft of a transmission is disclosed. The braking device includes a housing attachable to a casing of a transmission, a braking part and a lubrication structure. The braking part is disposed in the interior of the housing, and includes a plurality of braking discs. The lubrication structure includes a supply part and a discharge part, and lubricates the braking discs of the braking part. The supply part supplies oil to the interior of the housing, and includes a first supply port that is provided in a member different from the shaft and is disposed radially inside the braking part. The discharge part discharges the oil, supplied to the interior of the housing, to the casing of the transmission, and includes a discharge flow pathway that axially extends and is provided on the outer peripheral side of the plurality of braking discs.
Wet brake
A wet brake includes a housing, a rotator, a plurality of plates, a plurality of discs, and a piston. The rotator is rotatably disposed in the housing and cooperates with the housing to form therebetween a brake chamber into which cooling oil is forced to flow. The plates are disposed in the brake chamber and axially movably engaged with the housing. The discs are disposed alternatively with the plates in the brake chamber and axially movably engaged with the rotator. The piston is configured to push the plates and the discs. The housing has a cooling oil inlet and a cooling oil outlet that communicate with an inner peripheral region and an outer peripheral region of the brake chamber, respectively. An oil collecting passage is formed adjacent to an open end of the cooling oil outlet on a brake chamber side to communicate with the brake chamber and continues circumferentially.
COVERED RETAINER FOR SEGMENTED ANNULAR HEAT SHIELD
