DRUM AND DRUM BRAKE FOR VEHICLES
A drum for a drum brake manufactured as a single part from aluminium alloy. The drum includes a central axis, a rear wall connectable to a wheel and extending perpendicular to the central axis, a circumferential wall extending parallel to the central axis, and a transition area coupling the circumferential wall with the rear wall. The circumferential wall has an inner face and an outer portion, the inner face defines a braking surface for being contacted by shoes of the drum brake. The outer portion includes a radially projecting heat dissipating mass. The circumferential wall has in the outer portion a first segment free of the heat dissipating mass and a second segment in which the heat dissipating mass is arranged and extends from the first segment, such that the circumferential wall is thicker in the second segment than in the first segment.
Bicycle disc brake caliper assembly
A bicycle disc brake caliper assembly is basically provided with a main caliper body, at least one brake pad and a mounting adapter. The main caliper body includes a first coupling portion that is configured not to be directly attached to a bicycle frame. The at least one brake pad is movably attached to the main caliper body. The mounting adapter includes a second coupling portion that is configured to be detachably coupled to the first coupling portion, and a mounting portion that is configured to be mounted to a bicycle frame.
Disc brake caliper
A disc brake caliper is basically provided with a caliper housing, a brake pad and an intermediate member. The caliper housing defines a slot that is configured to receive a brake rotor. The caliper housing is made of a first material. The brake pad includes a mounting plate. The brake pad is disposed in the slot. The intermediate member is disposed between the caliper housing and the brake pad. The intermediate member is made of a second material having a thermal conductivity that is smaller than a thermal conductivity of the first material.
Bicycle brake disc
A bicycle brake disc includes: a disc body, having connecting portions extending from an inner periphery of the disc body, and each connecting portion including a connecting hole, and first connecting elements; a rotor carrier having a center hole and carrier arms formed by extending from the center hole to an outer periphery of the rotor carrier, and each carrier arm having a through hole; each heat dissipation baffle has a first and second end portions, and fitting holes, the first and second end portions of each heat dissipation baffle respectively clamped between two adjacent connecting portions and two adjacent carrier arms, so that the connecting hole, the fitting hole, and the through hole are sequentially aligned; and the first connecting element passing through the holes to fixedly connect the disc body, the heat dissipation baffles, and the rotor carrier.
ELECTROHYDRAULIC ACTUATING DEVICE WITH COOLING MODULES
An electrohydraulic actuating device (10), having an electric motor (1) and having a pump (2) driven by said electric motor, for the operation of a hydraulic control cylinder (8) of a hydraulic unit (3) wherein the motor (1) and the hydraulic unit (3) are each accommodated in a housing part (21, 22) of a housing (20), and wherein the housing (20) is equipped, at least in sections, with outwardly pointing cooling fins (4), wherein the housing (20) has a cuboidal or rectangular cross-sectional shape with substantially straight wall sections (23) situated at least on two opposite sides, which wall sections are formed with planar depressions or cutouts (24) which are continuous in the longitudinal direction, and the cooling fins (4) are provided at least partially in the form of removable plate-like cooling modules (5) which, for the insertion and installation thereof, are adapted in terms of shape and depth to the depressions or cutouts (24) of the housing (20).
Apparatus and method for heat dissipation of a brake pad
A device for braking a vehicle includes a first brake pad and a first back plate coupled to the first brake pad and comprising a first plurality of ridges provided on a first face of the first brake plate. The device and corresponding method provide an improved manner for cooling existing brake systems.
Electric wheel assembly applicable for parallelly mounted dual-tire wheel, axle, and vehicle
Disclosed are an electric wheel assembly applicable for a parallelly mounted dual-tire wheel, an axle, and a vehicle. The electric wheel assembly includes a wheel and support axle assembly, an internal-rotor hub motor, a planetary gear reducer and a brake system. A planetary carrier is connected to a hub. The hub is connected to a spoke and a rim. The wheel support axle passes through a rotor sleeve and is provided with a hub bearing to support the hub and a whole wheel. A sun gear disposed at an end of the rotor sleeve of the internal-rotor hub motor is a power input of the planetary gear speed reducer, and the planetary carrier is a power output. A planetary gear of the planetary gear reducer is a tower-shaped gear and realizes a relatively high transmission ratio under a condition that an axial length is relatively small.
DISC BRAKES AND BRAKING SYSTEMS
The invention provides a method of increasing the ventilation in a ventilated disc brake comprising a friction ring 2 and a bell mount 12 defining an internal cavity, by fastening in the cavity an axially inner ventilating structure 200 separate of the friction ring 2 which has vanes 208a, 208b defining channels 209a, 209b aligned with those of the disc brake. The ventilating structure 200 can have a thinner cross section, a lower density, and/or a lower thermal conductivity, than the friction ring 2.
