Hydraulic transaxle

A hydraulic transaxle facilitates mounting a parking brake unit which requires no link mechanism and is compact. The parking brake unit includes a brake rotor provided on a rotation shaft and a locking member being displaceable between a first position where the brake rotor is locked and a second position where the brake rotor is unlocked. The locking member includes a locking portion which is engaged in a recess formed in the brake rotor that locks the brake rotor in the first position, and a non-locking portion which is placed at a position corresponding to the recess and which separates from the brake rotor in the second position. The hydraulic transaxle further includes an oil-supply mechanism capable of displacing the locking member to the second position.

Brake assembly for robotic surgery system

A robotic surgery cart has a pair of rear wheel assemblies and a pair of front wheel assemblies. A brake assembly for the robotic surgery cart includes a gearbox interposed between and connected to the pair of rear wheel assemblies by rotatable shafts. Elongate actuators extend between and interconnect the rotatable shafts and brake mechanisms for the front wheel assemblies. A pedal lever is rotatably coupled to the gearbox and can rotate clockwise by pressing one portion of the pedal lever and can rotate counterclockwise by pressing another portion of the pedal lever. Rotation of the pedal lever causes the gearbox to rotate the rotatable shafts to substantially lock the pair of rear wheel assemblies, and substantially simultaneously causes a translation of the elongate actuators to actuate the brake mechanisms of the front wheel assemblies, such that the wheels of the front and rear wheel assemblies brake substantially simultaneously.

Air Disc Brake for a Road Vehicle

An air disc brake for a road vehicle is proposed, having a mechanism for causing retraction of the brake pads when the brakes are no longer applied, to avoid parasitic drag caused by continued contact of the brake pads against the brake disc. The proposed mechanism includes a pin located in a fixed position relative to one brake pad, and extending through an aperture in the other brake pad. A coil spring is supported on the pin, and pushes the brake pads apart. Where the pin extends through the aperture the extent of the pin provides an indication of the wear state of the pads and disc, which is visible through apertures in the wheel rim.

The vehicle transmission further includes a first disconnect device releasably mechanically coupling a first output to a first drive axle and a second disconnect device releasably mechanically coupling a second output to a second drive axle.

Single body sliding brake caliper assembly

A brake system for a vehicle is disclosed. The brake system includes a wheel hub, a brake disk, and a brake caliper. The wheel hub includes a hub and attachment posts. The hub defines a bore adapted to receive an axle of the vehicle. The attachment posts extend away from the hub adjacent to the bore. The attachment posts are singularly and integrally formed with the hub. The brake disk is disposed adjacent the wheel hub. The brake caliper includes a piston housing and a body. The piston housing is adapted to hold a piston. The piston housing defines mounting holes used to movably mount the brake caliper directly to the wheel hub at the attachment posts. The body is positioned radially outward of the brake disk. The piston housing and the body are integrally formed as a singular component.

Self-adjusting clutch actuator

A self-adjusting clutch actuator includes a transmission element displaceable in a displacement direction; and a compensation mechanism having a piston displaceable in the displacement direction of the transmission element. The compensation mechanism allows a first relative displacement (X) of the transmission element relative to the piston in the displacement direction when there is no actuating force in the clutch actuator, and blocks the first relative displacement (X) when an actuating force is introduced into the clutch actuator by bringing a frictional element (4) into contact with a counter-element. The frictional element (4) is designed for a second relative displacement (Y) relative to the counter-element when the first relative displacement (X) is not blocked by the compensation mechanism (22). A translatory mechanism provided between the transmission element (1) and the piston (2) is designed to cause the second relative movement (Y), by the first relative displacement (X) relative to the counter-element.
