A brake cylinder with a cylinder body having a first flange extending radially therefrom to form a radial edge with a bevel and a non-pressure head having a second flange extending radially therefrom, wherein the second flange is spaced apart from the first flange to define a first gap and includes an angled portion that extends over the bevel of the first flange to define a second gap in communication with the first gap. The two flanges form a gap in communication with the interior of the brake cylinder that extends outwardly to a V-shaped gap between the bevel of the first flange and the angled portion of the second flange to define a brake cylinder vent. The vent may be limited to four predetermined locations spaced equidistantly about the brake cylinder or the vent may extend circumferentially about the brake cylinder.

BRAKE CYLINDER DUST COVER AND WATERPROOF BRAKE CYLINDER USING SUCH DUST COVER

The invention discloses a brake cylinder dust cover and a waterproof brake cylinder using such dust cover. The brake cylinder comprises a brake cylinder body and a front cover. A waterproof dust cover assembly is arranged on the front cover. The waterproof dust cover assembly comprises a dust cover fixedly connected to the front cover, and a filter felt support and a filter felt pad which are arranged in the dust cover. The filter felt support is connected with the dust cover, and the filter felt pad is fixed on the filter felt support. An outwards extending skirt is arranged at the edge of the dust cover in the axial direction thereof.

In the support, at least one of the torque receiving parts (16, 18) is capable of being divided. The support (12) includes an open part capable of inserting and removing the brake pads (46) in the braking force tangential direction by dividing the torque receiving parts.

HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKE DEVICE

A hydraulic disc brake device to be mounted on a bicycle is disclosed, wherein the device includes a caliper main body, two brake linings, two membranes, and two rings. The caliper main body has a channel and two oil chambers respectively formed on two sides of the channel. Each of the oil chambers has an opening facing the channel. A part of a brake disc of the bicycle is located in the channel. The brake linings are provided in the channel, and are on two sides of the brake disc. The membranes are assembled to the caliper main body to seal the openings. By injecting hydraulic oil into the oil chambers, the membranes are pushed by the hydraulic oil to push against the brake linings, making the brake linings approach each other to clamp the brake disc, to thereby stop the bicycle.

A constricting clutch brake element is operable to selectively transmit mechanical power between relatively movable rotating members. A plurality of backing plates are movably mounted and selectively movable radially on an annular body of the clutch brake element. The backing plates engage a plurality of friction linings. Each backing plate is configured for usage with different numbers of torques bars to meet different torque carrying capacities, all within the same envelope size. The configuration also allows plural torque bars to be relatively positioned so that they can engagingly guide the backing plate during its radial movement.

Brake actuator apparatus for shielding and centering

A brake actuator comprises a housing having an end wall and a pushrod projecting through an opening in the end wall and terminating at a movable plate in the housing. A spring is enclosed in the housing and surrounds the pushrod. At least one unitary resilient member is disposed on the push rod proximate to the end wall and partially extends through the opening for centering the spring around an axis of the pushrod and restricting contamination into the housing. The unitary resilient member comprises a central aperture and an annular flange surrounding the central aperture. At least one section of a collar radially outward from the annular flange has a thickness less than half of the annular flange thickness for constraining movement of the spring and the push rod in a radial direction.
