Elevator braking device, powerhead and methods
An overspeed brake system for use in an elevator powerhead is provided. A brake rotor is attachable to a cable drum to rotate with a cable drum. A brake member selectively engages the brake rotor upon transition of an actuation lever from a first position to a second position. A biasing member acts on the actuation lever to bias the actuation lever from the first position towards the second position. A latch arrangement has a first orientation maintaining the actuation lever in the first position and a second orientation releasing the actuation lever for transitioning from the first position to the second position. The latch arrangement transitions from the first orientation to the second orientation when a speed sensing arrangement senses that the rotational speed of the cable drum is at least a predetermined rotational speed.
ELECTROMECHANICAL BRAKE CAPABLE OF AUTOMATICALLY RELEASING PARKING BRAKING
An electromechanical brake integrates a function of a parking brake by adding a simple structure to an existing electromechanical brake. In particular, the electromechanical brake includes a parking braking releasing structure configured to automatically release parking braking after a parking brake operates. In addition, the electromechanical brake is implemented to perform and release parking braking by using a drive unit which may operate in a single direction instead of using a drive unit which may operate in two directions.
Brake monitoring
Monitoring a brake that includes first and second braking surfaces and a magnetizing device that, in response to the electric current supplied to them, are arranged to generate a magnetic field that is arranged to move the braking surfaces from a closed state, in which the braking surfaces are connected to each other, to an open state, in which the braking surfaces are separated from each other. Determining the electric current of the brake as the braking surfaces begin to move from the closed state to the open state, determining the maximum electric current of the magnetizing device of the brake in the open state, determining the condition of the brake as a current ratio from the electric current measured as the braking surfaces start to move to the maximum electric current.
ELECTRIC BRAKING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
The present invention is provided with a power transmission member rotatably supported by a caliper, and a ratchet wheel fixed by the member. A first linear direction movement of a pawl member that engages with a mobile member of a solenoid is guided by a guide member fixed by the caliper. The pawl member is continuously pressed in a release direction by an elastic member. The interlocking force in an interlocking direction, imparted by mobile member of the solenoid mobile member to the pawl member, and the release force in the release direction, which is imparted by the elastic member to the pawl member oppose each other, and the interlocking force is larger than the release force. The pawl member and the mobile member move linearly together in one of the interlocking direction and the release direction.
DISK BRAKE
The present disk brake includes a braking force holding mechanism configured to restrict a rotation of a rotational shaft (a ratchet gear) to hold a braking force based on driving of a solenoid actuator. The braking force holding mechanism includes a holding member configured to move based on the driving of the solenoid actuator to restrict the rotation of the ratchet gear, and an engagement member coupled with this holding member. The engagement member is rotatably supported on a gear housing portion, and is configured to prohibit a movement of the holding member. Due to this configuration, an excitation force applied from outside to the holding member can be canceled out with the aid of the engagement member, and thus the disk brake can realize a size reduction and achieve cost saving.
Safety brake for a lifting gear
A safety brake for a load lifting gear includes an actuator for a locking pawl, a brake-locking gear element connected to a lifting gear drive, pawl position monitoring sensors and a controller. The controller monitors the sensors and the lifting gear speed, and operates the lifting gear drive and the actuator to brake the lifting gear against excessive speed, by moving the actuator between energized and non-energized states and differentiating with sensor inputs among a detached state, a bearing state and a fully engaged state of the locking pawl with a pawl clearance of the brake-locking gear element.
ELECTROMECHANICAL BRAKE CAPABLE OF DETECTING CHANGE IN MOTOR CHARACTERISTICS
An electromechanical brake is configured to detect a change in motor characteristics through a parking mechanism added to an existing electromechanical brake. Particularly, the electromechanical brake controls braking force by predicting a change in motor characteristics even in the event of a breakdown of a force sensor or even in a case in which no force sensor is utilized.
Non-excitation operable electromagnetic brake
Provided is a non-excitation operable electromagnetic brake that includes a manually operable rotary cam for switching over a rotor to a brake releasing state, but that allows easy recognition of switchover to the brake released state via an operation reaction force and that also allows reliable keeping of the rotary cam under its acting state. Even when an electromagnet is under a non-excited state, when a rotary cam is rotatably operated to an acting position, an acting portion of the rotary cam slidably operates a rotor via a releasing plate to a brake releasing state against springs. The acting portion of the rotary cam is formed linear along a tangent at a center of the acting portion with respect to a rotary cam rotational direction.
Disk brake
According to an example, a disk brake is disclosed in which a caliper is supported by a mounting bracket via a slide pin, the mounting bracket being attached to a non-rotational portion of a vehicle, the disk brake comprising an electromagnet provided in connection with the slide pin, the electromagnet attracting the slide pin in an axial direction of the slide pin such that brake pads move away from a disk rotor. According to another example, a disk brake in which a caliper is supported by a mounting bracket via a slide pin, the mounting bracket being attached to a non-rotational portion of a vehicle, the disk brake comprising a magnetic material body of a backing plate of a brake pad and an electromagnet provided in a location where the electromagnet is opposed to the magnetic material body in a lateral direction of the vehicle.
ACTUATOR OF ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE
An actuator of an electric parking brake is disclosed. According to one embodiment of the present invention, an actuator of an electric parking brake is provided, the actuator including a driving part which generates a rotation force, a first gear part which transmits the rotation force of the driving part, a second gear part including a rotation shaft which receives the rotation force from the first gear part to rotate, and a rotation shaft control part which is disposed at one side of the second gear part on the rotation shaft, provides a degree of rotational freedom to the rotation shaft during braking, and prevents reverse rotation of the second gear part due to a reverse rotation torque by fixing the rotation shaft when the braking is completed.
