A fastening device for fastening a shielding part to a partnered fastening part, having: a sleeve with a through opening for a fastener; at least two bridging elements, which are equipped with outer regions in a radial direction for indirect or direct contact with the opposing outsides of the shielding part and are fastened to the sleeve with inner regions in the radial direction; a damping element is positioned between the bridging elements in an axial direction and outside of the sleeve in the radial direction, characterized in that the damping element is embodied as a spring element and has at least one spring arm, which is resiliently flexible in the radial direction and is equipped to cooperate in a supporting way with a hole rim of a hole of the shielding part.

Bi-directional non-linear spring

A linear spring member having an annular region with a first thickness connected in series by cylindrical regions having a second thickness, wherein the first thickness is less than the second thickness. Outer portions of adjacent annular regions are coupled together by a first cylindrical region and inner portions of adjacent annular regions are coupled together by a second cylindrical region such that the effective spring rate of the bi-directional spring device increases symmetrically as it is displaced in either compression or tension.

Disc spring providing linear axial motion

A force sensing element is used in a pressure transducer. The force sensing element includes a flat, disc-type spring having a unitary body that circumscribes a central axis, and a plurality of spirals that are continuous with each other and extend radially outwardly from the central axis. The plurality of spirals includes nested symmetrical flights having walls with a non-uniform thickness, and the disc spring is uniformly deflectable along the central axis in response to force acting on the disc-type spring. The spring is configured to have a high accuracy and a high fatigue life such that the spring is suitable for use in high-pressure applications that may require repeatability while operating with over 10 million cycles of unidirectional or bi-directional axial loading.

Shock absorbing and impact mitigating structures based on axial-rotational coupling mechanism

An impact mitigating assembly includes an elongate member formed from a plurality of triangulated cylindrical origami (TCO) unit cells that exhibit coupled rotational and axial motion. The unit cells include an end portion and a tubular member fixed to the end portion. The tubular member has a plurality of concave sides. Each side has a first triangular portion and a second triangular portion sharing an elastic connecting edge with the second triangular portion. The first triangular portion also shares an angled upright edge with the second triangular portion of an adjacent side. Compressing the tubular member longitudinally causes the connecting edge and the angled upright edge to elastically deform, for example by stretching, and causes the second end of the tubular member to rotate with respect to the first end of the tubular member.

SPRING ELEMENT
20210156451 · 2021-05-27 ·

A spring element that includes one or more loop portions. Each loop portion provides vibration isolation characteristics for the spring element. One or more fastening portions of the spring element enable the fastening or connecting of the spring element to one or more structures. A ratio of a longitudinal measure of each loop portion to a transverse measure of the spring element is between 7.5 and 500. A pair of loop portions may be integrally joined together at a middle section to form a continuous loop. A pair of fastening portions may be integrally joined to opposing sides of the middle section, respectively. One of the fastening portions may be connected to a first structure and the other one of the fastening portions may be connected to a second structure.
