A spring assembly with two or more springs, one inside another. The spring assembly can have two springs wherein one spring is located inside another spring, and the outer spring can be a helical ribbon spring and the inner spring can be a canted coil spring to provide support to the outer helical ribbon spring. Support is provided where the helical ribbon spring may have some limitations that the inner spring is able to overcome. Limitations of the helical ribbon spring may be a limited force versus deflection curve which the additional spring support of the secondary spring may overcome.

Torsion spring adjustment assembly for a finger wheel rake

A torsion spring adjustment assembly for supporting a finger wheel rake that includes a lever operably connected to a torsion spring supporting the finger wheel rake for setting the tension of the torsion spring. The lever is pivotable about the axis of a rotational shaft of the finger wheel rake to a plurality of tension-setting positions and is secured to a main frame of the finger wheel rake at a position selected from the plurality of tension-setting positions. The lever is adjusted to a select position and then secured against the adjustment plate by a mechanical fastener.

An advanced (or supercoil) spring is disclosed herein. While the advanced spring can include any suitable feature, in some cases, it includes a coil spring having multiple external coils that define a portion of an inner lumen of the coil spring. In some such case, the coil spring further includes a first internal coil that extends at least partially into the inner lumen of the coil spring. In some cases, the external coils and the first internal coil are each made of, and comprise part of, one single continuous spring wire. In some cases, the coil spring includes a tension spring such that surfaces of adjacent external coils contact each other, and such that the first internal coil is disposed within a portion of the inner lumen defined by the adjacent external coils, when the coil spring is at rest. Push-cables and associated apparatus for pipe inspection systems are disclosed. In one embodiment a pipe inspection system includes a camera head, a push-cable including an outer covering enclosing a plurality of electrical conductors for transmitting signals and/or power between the camera head and an electronic device operatively coupled to the push-cable, and a spring assembly disposed about the push-cable near the distal end where the spring assembly comprises a spring with a tapered flex section having a varying cross-sectional area and/or a varying cross-sectional shape.

Apparatus and method for securing end pieces to a mandrel

A bumper spring assembly having a one piece mandrel including an integral head piece is further configured with a cage assembly retained on the mandrel with a cage nut locked to the mandrel to obviate the need for pins, set screws, and the like, to provide a more robust assembly. In two embodiments the cage nut is locked to the mandrel in a swaging operation. Improved flow of fluids through and around the bumper spring assembly are also provided.

A torsion spring used in a flexible display device includes a spring body having a first connection end configured to connect a reel of the flexible display device, and a second connection end configured to fix the torsion spring. An axial sectional area of the spring body near the first connection end is greater than an axial sectional area of the spring body away from the first connection end. When the reel rotates, the torsion force generated during the initial rotation of the reel is relatively large, and with the increase of the rotation turn number of the reel, the increase of the torsion force is relatively small.

Coil spring

In the coil spring of the present invention, a helical space defined by a space between coils has a first end region whose space is increased as it extends towards the other side in the axial direction from a first reference point where the space is zero, a reference region whose space is set at a reference value L (L>0), and a second end region whose space becomes narrow as it extends toward the other side in the axial direction and zero at a second reference point. The first end region is configured such that the number of turns of the helical space is greater than 1 and the space between coils in a terminal position is greater than the reference value L. The helical space has a first transitional region between the terminal position of the first end region and the reference region, the first transitional region being configured so that the distance of space between coils is reduced from the terminal position of the first end region along the helical shape of the helical space toward the other side in the axial direction and becomes the reference value L.
