Method and apparatus for an adjustable damper
An air bleed system for a suspension fork or shock absorber includes: a fluid passage between an interior of the suspension and an exterior of the suspension; and a manually operable valve having a first position substantially closing the fluid passage and a second position allowing fluid flow between the interior and the exterior.
ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION COMPRISING A FLUID DISTRIBUTION DEVICE
Adjustable suspension comprising a suspension body having a bottom, a piston disposed in the suspension body and comprising a piston head, the bottom and the piston head delimiting a main chamber inside said suspension body, the piston being movable in translation in the suspension body; and a fluid distribution device comprising a main fluid inlet configured to inject a fluid into the suspension and a fluid outlet, the piston being able to assume a first position in which the fluid distribution device is configured to bring the fluid injected through the main fluid inlet into the main chamber so as to deploy the piston and a second position in which the fluid distribution device is configured to guide the fluid injected through the main fluid inlet to the fluid outlet in order to evacuate the fluid out of the suspension.
ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION FOR A BICYCLE
Adjustable suspension for a bicycle, comprising a suspension body provided with a main fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a piston disposed in the suspension body and comprising a piston head delimiting a first chamber and a second chamber, the first chamber being in fluid communication with the main fluid inlet, the piston being movable in translation in the suspension body between at least one first position in which the fluid outlet fluidly communicates with the second chamber but not with the first chamber, so as to deploy the piston, and at least one second position in which the fluid outlet is in fluid communication with the first chamber.
Magnetorheological hydraulic damper with passive damping chamber
A damper assembly comprises a main tube extending along a center axis defining a fluid chamber. A main piston is located in the main tube dividing the fluid chamber into a compression chamber and a rebound chamber. A piston rod extends into the main tube and coupled to the main piston. The piston rod defines an annular chamber extending along the center axis. A slidable partition is located in the annular chamber dividing the annular chamber into a magnetorheological chamber and a compensation chamber. A secondary piston is slidably disposed in the magnetorheological chamber dividing the magnetorheological chamber into a magnetorheological compression chamber and a magnetorheological rebound chamber. A secondary piston rod sealingly and slidably guided through the main piston and couples to the main tube for moving the secondary piston axially in the magnetorheological chamber.

SHOCK ABSORBER
A shock absorber includes: a cylinder which is filled with a fluid; a piston valve which includes a valve seat dividing an inner space of the cylinder, a passage which is formed in the valve seat and through which the fluid passes, and a valve disposed to cover the passage and interfering with a flow of the fluid; a performance controller which is disposed in the cylinder to control at least one of a spring constant, a damping force, or a combination thereof; and a piston support which is connected to the piston valve and exposed to an outside.
Suspension Including Coil Spring and Ambient Air Cushion
