BYPASS FOR A SUSPENSION DAMPER
20170184174 · 2017-06-29 · ·

A vehicle suspension damper comprises a cylinder and a piston assembly including a damping piston along with working fluid within the cylinder. A bypass permits fluid to avoid dampening resistance of the damping piston. A fluid path through the bypass is controlled by a valve that is shifted by a piston surface when the contents of at least one predetermined volume is injected against the piston surface which acts upon the valve. In one embodiment, the bypass is remotely operable.

SHOCK ABSORBER SPRING RETENTION STRUCTURE OF REMOTE CONTROL CAR
20170184171 · 2017-06-29 ·

A shock absorber spring retention structure is provided for a remote control car. A spring is arranged between a shock absorption cylinder and a piston rod that are axially movable relative to each other to produce an effect of damping. The spring has a top supported on an adjustment ring that is threadingly screwed to an outer circumference of the shock absorption cylinder and a bottom having a wire rotatably coupled to a clip and held in position by a mounting seat to be coupled to a connection seat mounted to an end of the piston rod. The connection seat includes an engagement section with which the clip is engageable for locking. Thus, in the assembly of the shock absorber, the clip securely retains and couples the spring, the mounting seat, and the connection seat together to prevent the spring from detaching during the operation of the shock absorber.

DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF A VEHICLE

The present invention is a system for adjusting the height of vehicles. The vehicle is supported by a hollow cylinder and a piston having an undersized piston skirt is mounted on the suspension system's coil spring, and sealingly slidable within the cylinder bore. When a fluid is introduced into the expandable pressure space between the piston and the cylinder top, the piston and cylinder are forced apart, raising the vehicle. The undersized piston skirt can extend beyond the end of the cylinder, allowing the piston a greater travel length within the cylinder bore. The invention may be operated manually by a vehicle driver through push buttons, which can be the vehicle's existing cruise control buttons. Alternatively, the system can be automated using a control unit to automatically adjust ground clearance to avoid collision with obstacles in the vehicle's path. In another embodiment, the lift system, or any lift system, is prevented from activating, and deactivates (if previously activated) if the vehicle is travelling at excessive speed.
