The bearing portion can be a hydrostatic bearing that supports the rotary shaft with a predetermined bearing clearance therebetween. The tubular portion includes a plurality of planar slits arranged circumferentially at predetermined intervals in the tubular portion. Each slit extends radially from an open end at the outer surface, and extends circumferentially in an arc to a predetermined point in a region between the outer and inner surfaces. The tubular portion includes a bearing fluid supply hole that is formed in a region where none of the planar slits is situated, and extends from the outer surface of the tubular portion to the bearing portion without passing through any of the planar slits.

Each of the first holding portion and the second holding portion includes a plurality of holding members configured to hold a workpiece W. The first holding portion includes a first support member, a second support member, and an absorption member. The second support member movably supports the first support member along an intersection direction. The absorption member allows movement of the second support member caused in the intersection direction relative to the first support member, and makes it possible for the second support member to return to an initial position in the intersection direction relative to the first support member.

The suspension device for vehicles includes: an electric damper which operates by electricity; a fluid pressure damper which operates by hydraulic pressure; a road-surface state detector which detects a road-surface state ahead of a tire of a vehicle; and a controller which causes at least one to operate among the electric damper and the fluid pressure damper, based on a detection result of the road-surface state detector.

VIBRATION ISOLATOR FOR SUPPORTING A PAYLOAD

A vibration isolator (10) for supporting a payload and isolating the payload from vibrations has: a pressurized gas compartment (24) formed with a rigid base structure (28), which base structure has an opening (32) covered with a flexible membrane (20) having an inner surface (21) facing into the gas compartment and an outer surface (22) facing in the opposite direction, a support member (12) for supporting the payload, which support member is arranged in contact with the outer surface (22) of the membrane, and a clamping member (62) arranged at the inner surface (21) of the membrane, wherein the support member and the clamping member form a clamping system (66), which system includes at least one magnetic element (64) effecting the membrane to be pressed against the support member.

Suspension System

A suspension system for a vehicle is provided. A linear regenerative suspension system that converts mechanical energy into storable electrical energy is also provided. The system utilizes pistons, one on each side of the vehicle, engaged with a vehicle body at a distal end and having a fluid chamber at the proximal end. The system further has a central chamber having a rod freely laterally moving therein. A fluid communicates between the central chamber and each piston fluid chamber. Upon nonlinear forces applied to the vehicle, the rod is urged in one direction or another. This urging applies force to the fluid in the central chamber, and in turn, to the piston in the corresponding side of the vehicle, urging the piston up and in turn urging the vehicle body up.

AIR RIDE FLOOR ASSEMBLY

A floor assembly includes a controller, a compressor, an airbag, and a floor. The controller is configured to provide one or more user controls to permit a user to operate the compressor and regulate pressure in the airbags. The floating floor is configured to isolate a carrying load from vibrational effects and trailer forces. The assembly is optionally removable from a trailer floor and may be inserted on a different trailer. A guide member is used to restrict movement of the floor on the airbags to only a vertical motion. The guide members may include a dampener.

DOOR HANDLE RATE CONTROLLER

A door handle rate controller is disclosed. The door handle rate controller includes a damper assembly operatively connected to a door handle such that a movement of the door handle is dampened. The damper assembly may be a piston and cylinder type damper having a piston and a piston rod mounted within a body for reciprocal movement in the body along its longitudinal axis. The damper assembly extends longitudinally from a damper head to an end of the piston rod. A handle side mount and a mounting bracket may be provided to secure the damper assembly to a first and second portion of the door handle. The handle side mount has a first housing bracket pivotally coupled to the end of the piston rod, and a second housing bracket arranged to pivotally couple to the first portion of the door handle. The mounting bracket is defined by an first opening arranged to receive the damper head, and a second opening arranged to receive the second portion of the door handle. The mounting bracket is pivotally coupled to the damper head.

Vibration suppression system and method of reducing vibration on flexible bar structure in vibration suppression system

A vibration suppression system includes a ground manipulator, a flexible bar structure connected to an end of the ground manipulator, and at least one vibration suppression device configured to be distributedly arranged to be attached/detached to/from the flexible bar structure and configured to be controlled to reduce vibration and deflection occurring in the flexible bar structure by dispersing a load applied to the flexible bar structure due to movement or disturbance of the ground manipulator.

ENGINE MOUNT SYSTEM AND ELEMENTS FOR REDUCED FORCE TRANSMISSION AND REDUCED STATIC MOTION

Compliant mounting systems, devices, and methods for mounting a vehicle engine to a vehicle structure or base include a top mount, a lower mount, a center trunnion mount, and an aft mount which are configured to react forces transmitted by the engine to the vehicle structure. Metallic and elastomeric elements can provide vibrational and force isolation characteristics. Stops (e.g., snubbing elements) allow for a specific range of motion before internal mount structures contact each other to act as a conventional hard mount. Fluid elements and compressible gas-filled spaces/bladders may be incorporated to provide fluid damping behaviors to complement the metallic and elastomeric elements.
