TIRE SENSOR MOUNTING ASSEMBLY, VEHICLE WHEEL BALANCER, COMBINATION TIRE SENSOR MOUNTING ASSEMBLY AND WHEEL BALANCER, METHOD FOR MOUNTING A TIRE SENSOR TO A VEHICLE PART, AND METHOD FOR BALANCING A VEHICLE WHEEL
A combination vehicle tire sensor assembly and in-tire wheel balancer is adapted for residing inside a pneumatic tire mounted on a wheel rim of a motor vehicle. The combination comprises a flexible mounting cable secured to the sensor assembly, and adapted for extending circumferentially within an annular space formed between the tire and wheel rim. A counterweight is secured to the mounting cable inside the pneumatic tire a spaced distance from the sensor assembly. A substantially hollow balancer belt resides inside the pneumatic tire adjacent the sensor assembly and counterweight, and defines a circumferentially-extending exterior groove designed for receiving and locating said mounting cable, and a circumferentially-extending interior cavity adapted for loosely containing a wheel-balancing medium.
Wheel rim accessory and method for assembling thereof
A wheel rim accessory assemblable to a wheel of a vehicle, including: (a) a casing having an outlet adapted to be in fluid communication with the internal volume of the wheel, the casing being assemblable to the wheel rim of the wheel; (b) a filler substance disposed within the casing; and (c) a valve mechanism operationally coupled with the outlet, the valve mechanism controlling a flow of the filler substance from the casing to the internal volume of the wheel such that when a pressure level in the internal volume of the wheel is below a first predefined level, the valve mechanism allows the filler substance to flow into the internal volume until the pressure level reaches a second predefined level, wherein the second predefined level is equal to, or greater than, the first predefined level.
Stamped wheel balancing weight
A wheel-balancing weight mounts to a wheel with a flange. The weight includes a body and a clip. The body is stamped by a punch to define a pocket within which an attaching portion of the clip resides. The defined pocket has a planar base and opposing side walls generally perpendicular to the base. The body as stamped by the punch includes a pre-stake for each side wall external to the pocket and adjacent the side wall, and an undercut for each side wall within the pocket and generally located at a juncture of the side wall and the base.
Wheel balancing tool
A wheel balancing tool includes a body member, an attachment member and an alignment member. The body member includes a notch configured to be aligned with a balancing mark on a rim of a vehicle wheel. The attachment member is connected to the body member. The attachment member includes at least one hook configured to attach the tool to the wheel rim. The alignment member extends outwardly from the body portion and is configured to indicate an attachment position on the wheel for a balancing weight.
Tire imbalance correction method and Tire
A method of correcting imbalance of a tire comprises a step of forming a coated layer on the inner surface of the tire at the point of lightest weight of the tire so as to reduce the imbalance of the tire. The coated layer has a black color substantially the same as the color of the inner surface so that it becomes difficult to recognize the correction of the weight imbalance.
Balancing weights with ferromagnetic inlay
A balancing weight for balancing a wheel of a vehicle has a body of non-ferromagnetic material providing a major portion of the balancing weight's mass and a ferromagnetic inlay for holding the balancing weight by magnetic force. The ferromagnetic inlay provides a minor portion of the balancing weight's mass. A weight applicator has a magnet for interacting with the ferromagnetic inlay of the balancing weight and holding the balancing weight.
FIXTURE FOR STICKING BALANCE BLOCKS TO SURFACE OF HUB
A fixture for sticking balance blocks to the surface of a hub includes a base, in which a fixed plate is welded to one side of the upper end of the base, a slide rail butted to the fixed plate is connected to the other side of the base by bolts, a sliding block is connected to the slide rail in a sliding manner, the middle positions of the fixed plate and the sliding block are respectively connected with a first roller and a second roller of the same type by bearings, each of the first roller and the second roller is sleeved with a rubber sleeve of the same specification, and a support table is mounted under the base.
Wheel balancing weights, and methods and devices for using same
A ballasting weight (20) having a length, width, thickness, first side, second side, top, and bottom, and a cross-sectional profile comprising a notch forming a groove (28) extending longitudinally along the length of the first side of the ballasting weight (20), wherein the groove (28) is operatively adapted so as to facilitate the automatic dispensing and/or applying of the ballasting weight (20), e.g., on the rim flange of a wheel rim adjacent to its flange lip, and a device for so dispensing and/or applying the ballasting weight.
Self-adhesive balancing weight for a vehicle wheel
A self-adhesive balancing weight for a vehicle wheel has a top surface and a bottom surface with a self-adhesive tape. The bottom surface has a first curved section with a first radius and a second curved section with a second radius. The first radius is smaller than the second radius. This allows to hold the balancing weight by the adhesive tape to almost every rim, as there are always at least two holding points (-lines) by which the balancing weight contacts the rim via the adhesive tape.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING A BALANCING WEIGHT TO A MOUNTING SURFACE ON AN INNER SIDE OF A WHEEL RIM
The invention relates to a device for attaching a balancing weight (2) to a mounting surface (17) on an inner side (3) of a rim dish of a wheel rim (4) and provides for a mounting head (1) to be dimensioned in such a way that it fits into the rim dish. The mounting head (1) includes a support element (5), which is radially displaceable relative to the wheel rim (4) and on which a feeler element (6) is axially movably arranged, the feeler element (6) having a convex contact surface (14) and a receptacle (12) for at least one balancing weight (2), said receptacle being oriented towards the inner side (3). The mounting head (1) is configured in such a way that the contact surface (14) may be brought into contact with a boundary surface (18) of the inner side (3), and may be displaced along said boundary surface until the balancing weight (2) comes radially into contact with the mounting surface (17).
