Normalizing Tension Distribution and Minimizing Sidewall Abrasion Within Angular Drive Belt Systems
20240167543 · 2024-05-23 ·

This disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses of employing belts for an angular drive. A twisted geometry is applied to a first free span of the belt. A sheave supports the first free span of the belt at a first extremity of the first free span and sheave is at least one of positioning and orienting the rotating sheave or the driven sheave so as to misalign a geometric centerline of the first free span of belt at a given fleet angle with respect to a second extremity of the first free span.

Friction transmission belt

A frictional power transmission belt includes a compression rubber layer that includes a frictional power transmission surface at least a part of which can come into contact with a pulley and that is formed of a cured product of a rubber composition. On a surface of the frictional power transmission surface, a surface layer comprising a cured product of a rubber composition containing a polyvinyl pyrrolidone-based resin and an elastomer component is laminated.

Polyurethane belt with improved hydrolysis resistance

A belt for power transmission or transport comprising a polyurethane belt body, wherein the polyurethane of the belt body is the reaction product of a urethane prepolymer and a diamine chain extender, and the urethane prepolymer is based on a polyether and a linear aliphatic diisocyanate. The belt has excellent hydrolysis resistance.

A transport, driving or pressing belt, comprising at least one belt material having a lower and an upper face limited by two longitudinal edges and two transverse edges running obliquely with respect to the main extension direction of the belt, the belt material being closed and the longitudinal edges being folded down, and a method for manufacturing a transport, driving or pressing belt. To ensure high tensile strength over the complete belt length and avoid an edge tearing of the first belt material at the longitudinal edges, the transverse edges of a first belt material lie against each other in abutting relationship, and a second belt material is arranged centrically on the first belt material at least in the region of the transverse edges. The second belt material here nearly covers a width of 50% of the first belt material and is centrically glued with the first belt material.
