10480703 · 2019-11-19 · ·

A safety device with a sliding cable and a corresponding installation, to secure conduits, pipes, piping and similar equipments subject to high pressure due to fluid under pressure circulating in such conduits and equipments. The safety device includes a flexible cable which forms a first and a second attachment eyelet for attaching and connecting the safety device to two parts of the conduits and equipments under pressure. A first and a second sleeve which close two end portions of the flexible cable form, at the ends of the safety device, the first and second attachment eyelets. Two terminals are provided at the opposite ends of the flexible cable.

Adjustable length tensioning member

An adjustable length tensioning member that comprises a rope, a first connector on the rope, a second connector on the rope, and a plurality of connection points between the first connector and the second connector is disclosed. The plurality of connection points have a diameter greater than a diameter of the rope. The rope may be passed through a socket coupled to a first crane component and one of the connectors on the rope is coupled to a second crane component. One of the plurality of connection points engages a seat on the socket to tension the rope between the socket and the connection point.

Rope Tensioning System

A system for tensioning a rope of a play structure includes a collar coupled to the play structure. The system includes a tensioner coupled to the rope. The tensioner is coupled to the collar through a threaded connection and where a rotation of the tensioner in relation to the collar adjusts a tension in the rope.

EYELET ASSEMBLY

The disclosure concerns an eyelet assembly comprising a shank; and an eyelet portion connected to an end of the shank, the eyelet portion comprising a first prong and a second prong, the first prong being longer than the second prong, the first and second prongs being substantially arcuate and forming a substantially circular aperture, the first and second prongs at an axial angle relative to each other to form a slot. The assembly can be used to suspend or hang lighting fixtures such as LED flat panels at desired angles of display.

ROPE ASSEMBLIES

A rope assembly comprises a rope, wherein the rope comprises a plurality of braided or twisted strands. The rope assembly also comprises an attachment structure formed of a polymer. The attachment structure defines an opening through the rope between the strands. The strands are fixedly held in the attachment structure by being encased within the polymer.

Crimp sleeve

A crimp sleeve assembly includes a body made from titanium and has a first open end and a second closed end. The crimp sleeve crimps a Nitinol wire and a PTFE coated stainless steel wire. An axial end stop sleeve assembly has a sleeve crimped by an axial die assembly which forms a tip of the sleeve into a closed end bullet and/or tapered nose wherein the sleeve is crimped onto an end of a wire rope such that the wire rope does not protrude from the closed end bullet and/or tapered nose and wherein the axial die assembly minimizes flash during crimping.

Cable securing device

A cable securing device facilitates secure connection to a cabling end, and employs a retaining cap, a compression member, a barrel with a tapered interior wall and a fastening device.

Intelligent fiber rope termination

A cable termination including an integral instrument package providing intelligence. The instrument package may assume many forms and may serve many purposes. In a preferred embodiment, the termination includes a position-determining system and an on-board processor. The processor determines a current location in space for the termination based on the information it is receiving. This positional information may then be transmitted to an external receiver. In the scenario where the termination is attached to a payload, the positional information may be used by an external positioning device (such as a crane) to control the motion of the termination and thereby place the payload in a desired position. The termination also preferably includes load-monitoring and recording features. The termination may also carry one or more ROV's/AUV's.

Swageless turnbuckle assembly

A cable gripping apparatus comprising a plurality of jaw members, each jaw member being tapered on an outer surface thereof from a larger first end to a smaller second end, said plurality of jaw members being configured to receive and grip a cable therebetween. A cylindrical collar having external threads and a tapered internal bore is receivable of the tapered jaw members in the tapered internal bore. A cylindrical turnbuckle body having a threaded bore is receivable of the threaded cylindrical collar entirely within the turnbuckle bore. The cylindrical collar, plurality of jaw members, and cable gripped therewithin define collectively a collar sub-assembly receivable within the turnbuckle bore. When the turnbuckle body is rotated, the collar sub-assembly is moved axially within the threaded bore of the turnbuckle body, thus changing the tension in the cable.

Flexible retention systems for portable electronic devices

A retention system for securing a portable electronic device to the work surface can include an elongated member. The elongated member can be adapted to couple with a work surface. The retention system can include a device clip. The device clip can be coupled to the elongated member. The device clip can be slidably engaged with the elongated member. The device clip can be adapted to engage with an edge of the portable electronic device located on the work surface.
