WEDGE PIN SUSPENSION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a means for vertically suspending a single lighting element or a plurality of lighting elements within a rail system using one or a plurality of wedge pin suspension systems that employ a wedge pin securing device and a receptive collar assembly to grip and secure in place one or a plurality of electrical cables having at least two insulated conductive electrical leads to provide both vertical support and electrical power to the suspended lighting elements. The present disclosure further relates to a manually adjustable and reservable wedge pin securing device configured for easy manipulation, yet providing a secure vertical suspension means using a lighting system's own electrical cable for support based on combined frictional and gravitational forces.
Tensioning terminal having a protective protrusion
Terminal turnbuckle having a protective protrusion of the type used for fixing and tensioning filiform elements or the like located between two post-type rigid elements or the like, comprising a solid body (1) housing the elements for retaining the filiform element therein, internally having a channel-like cavity suitable for serving as means for receiving an end portion of a filiform element or the like, allowing the free circulation thereof in one direction, and blocking the movement thereof in the opposite direction, and wherein said solid body (1) has a protrusion (2) in the entry area of the filiform element (3) responsible for protecting said filiform element (3) from the edges present in an opening of the post (4) or the like where the body (1) has been installed.
Belt ratcheting device
The Belt Ratcheting Device (BRD) facilitates unidirectional belt fastening and fast release. The BRD has a turning gate rotatably installed diagonally in a channel. The turning gate has a tapered front end with sharp edge with a smooth side. A preloaded spring keeps the BRD in active state when the release lever is not pulled. The BRD has two states: active and inactive. In the active state the device works as a belt ratchet i.e. allowing the belt to be pulled forwards but restricting any belt motion backwards. After fastening, the belt remains fastened until the BRD is switched into inactive state by manually pulling the lever. The BRD doesn't employ serrated surfaces, which cause accelerated belt wear. Instead, the BRD's smooth side and channel's smooth surfaces minimize belt wear. BRDs facilitate garment belt fastening or belt fastening of footwear.
Clamp for clamping a cord on account of tension in the cord
Clamp (1) for clamping a cord in tension, in which the clamp comprises a U-shaped elongate frame (2) with an elongate recess and an elongate clamping body (3) which is connected to the frame and extends in the recess of the frame, in whicha cord duct (11) is formed in the recess between the clamping body and a clamping surface (10) of the frame, the clamping body is configured to be carried along by a cord passed through the cord duct, in which the distance between the clamping body and the clamping surface decreases when the clamping body is moved, the clamping body has a widened part (7) at one end and in which a hinge (4) is provided between the legs (6a, 6b) of the frame and the widened part of the clamping body, the axis of rotation of which extends at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the frame.
Cord lock
A cord lock includes a main body having front and rear walls and two side walls, an elongated hole, and an inclined portion formed in an inner surface of the side walls; and an operating button having front and rear wall side operating portions arranged on the front wall and the rear wall, respectively, a connecting portion integrally connected to the front and rear wall side operating portions through the elongated hole, a biasing device biasing the front and rear side operating portions to the one side opening to cooperate with the inclined portion, and a gear-shaped engagement portion adapted to pinch the band inserted into the tubular shape. The operating button has a pivot portion, wherein a distance between an axial end of the pivot portion and a shaft end supporting the gear-shaped engagement portion is narrower than a thickness of the gear-shaped engagement portion.
Cleat and cleat fairing for a boat
A cleat for a boat includes a cam mounted to the boat, where the cam has a rotatable toothed surface for pressing against a line. The cleat also includes a guide mounted to the boat adjacent the cam, where the guide has a surface for directing the line above a top of the cam. In addition, the cleat has a slot formed in the surface of the guide, which permits the line to be moved into opposition with the rotatable toothed surface of the cam.
Display hanging system, apparatus and method
The invention provides method and apparatus for raising a display poster to an overhead position for viewing by persons passing below. The apparatus comprises a motorized winder remotely controllable to cause take-up and paying out of first and second separate cords distally connected to an overhead supporting structure. The motorized winder is contained within a housing having a lower receiving space into which an edge adjacent portion of a poster to be displayed in a retailing or similar environment is receivable for clamping in place against removal by clamping means preferably comprising an elongate roller. The apparatus contains a formation for inhibiting rolling of the roller when in entrapment position.
CONCRETE ANCHOR WITH RETAINER
An anchor assembly for use with a tensioning strand includes an anchor body including a bore therethrough, the bore configured to receive the strand therethrough, an inner surface of the bore including a frustoconical wedge-receiving cavity, at least one frustoconical wedge including a strand-engaging inner surface and an anchor body engaging outer surface, the wedge being at least partially received in the wedge-receiving cavity, an encapsulating layer at least partially surrounding the anchor body, and a wedge retention disk mechanically coupled to the anchor body and positioned so as to prevent the wedge from fully exiting the wedge-receiving cavity. The wedge retention disk may be spaced apart from the anchor body such that the wedge can move axially with respect to the anchor body between a seated position in which the wedge engages the wedge-receiving cavity and an unseated position in which the wedge engages the wedge retention disk.
Elevator Traveling Cable Hanger Assembly
An elevator traveling cable hanger assembly for use with an elevator is provided. The elevator traveling cable hanger assembly includes a base structure configured for attachment to an elevator hoistway structure. An insert is configured for attachment to the base structure and further configured to support an elevator traveling cable. A plurality of wire rope clips are configured to support a traveling cable core extending from the elevator traveling cable. A plurality of fasteners are configured to secure the base structure, insert, elevator traveling cable and plurality of wire rope clips to the elevator hoistway structure.
Belt Ratcheting Device
The Belt Ratchet Device (BRD) facilitates belt fastening and release. The BRD has two states: active and inactive. In the active state the device works as a belt ratchet i.e. allowing the belt to be pulled forwards but restricting any belt motion backwards. After fastening the belt remains fastened until the BRD is switched into inactive state by manually pulling a lever. Each BRD has a turning gate rotatably installed in a channel with tapered front end with sharp edge with a smooth side. A preloaded spring keeps the BRD in active state when the lever is not pulled. The BRD doesn't employ serrated surfaces, which cause accelerated belt wear. Instead, the BRD's smooth side and channel's smooth surfaces minimize belt wear. Various configurations of BRDs facilitate belt fastening of footwear. Single BRDs can be used for fastening garments and other objects.
