A bungee cord lock includes a frame having a hook on one end thereof and a pair of channels and locking tabs for locking a bungee cord in place. The bungee cord lock can be used with a bungee cord for securing one or more articles. One type of bungee cord is a strap having a dog bone cross sectional profile.

A dual side-hook structure is a hook unit with four hooks. The hook unit includes a first positioning hooks on an upper end of the hook unit and a first hanging hooks on a lower end of the hook unit. Edges of the first positioning hooks and the first hanging hooks include abutting devices to prevent the rope from sliding out of the hook unit. The hook unit is positioned on a vertical rope by using the first hanging hooks horizontally. The first positioning hooks and the first hanging hooks are used interchangeably. Apparatus for quickly securing a cable

The present invention is a metal cable locking mechanism for allowing the cable to pass through the locking mechanism in one direction but grips the metal cable when it is attempted to be removed from the locking mechanism in the opposite direction. The locking mechanism includes a housing having a through passageway for receiving the cable, a tapering internal cavity, wherein a wheel and spring are positioned within the internal cavity, the spring biasing the wheel toward a narrower end of the internal cavity. The wheel is wedged between the cable and an internal cavity ramp whenever a force is applied to the cable attempting to withdraw the cable. A releasing device can be manually inserted into a slot passage to force the wheel away from the narrower end of the internal cavity so that the locking mechanism will ungrasp the cable.

An elastomeric cord has a first end and a second end, and a first cross-sectional dimension when in an unstretched condition, wherein the first channel has a width that is less than the first cross-sectional dimension of the elastomer cord, wherein the elastomer cord may be guided around the second object so that the second end can be connected to the locking work piece by stretching the elastomer cord to reduce the cross-sectional dimension of the elastomer cord to a size smaller than the width of the first channel, inserted into the first channel, and unstretched so that the elastomer cord is retained within the first channel, and wherein the second channel has a width that is less than the first cross-sectional dimension of the elastomer cord, wherein the second end of the elastomer cord that is retained within the first channel can be further stretched to reduce the cross-sectional dimension of the elastomer cord to a size smaller than the width of the second channel, inserted into the second channel, and unstretched so that the elastomer cord is retained within the second channel.
