Log wrapper safety device
A device for securing logs from harvested timber to a transport vehicle, or logging truck, using log wrappers. The log wrapper securement device can be located in the inspection cavity of a forestry grapple. The forestry grapple is attached to a log loader. The log wrapper securement device includes a base plate sized and shaped to replace the inspection plate covering the inspection cavity. The base plate includes a slot sized and shaped to receive a portion of a chain end link or other chain links of the log wrapper, which can be inserted manually. The loader operator can remotely control the actuator to secure the chain link and release it, once the log wrapper is positioned over the other side of the logging truck. The log wrapper securement device can potentially reduce injuries and save lives.

BLOCK LOCK FOR ROUND STEEL CHAINS FOR MINING
Block lock (100) for round steel chains, having two half elements (10) which are displaceable relative to one another for opening and closing the block lock (100) and which each have ends connected to one another via a longitudinal web (10.1), of which in each case one end has an insertion plug (11) with a width reduced in relation to the longitudinal web and with retaining webs (13.1, 13.2) integrally formed on both sides, wherein at least two parallel retaining webs (13.1, 13.2) are arranged above one another on each side, and of which in each case the other end has a receiving pocket (12) which serves to receive the insertion plug (11) and on the two lateral inner flanks of which there are in each case formed at least two retaining grooves (14.1, 14.2) above one another to form a toothing by receiving the retaining webs (13.1, 13.2). A central web (10.2) extends inwardly from at least one longitudinal web (10.1). The insertion plug (11) widens, as seen in side view, from the longitudinal web (10.1) towards its end, and the length of the retaining webs (13.1, 13.2) increases. At the same time, the receiving pocket (12), as seen in side view, narrows from the longitudinal web (10.1) to its end.
BLOCK LOCK FOR ROUND STEEL CHAINS FOR MINING

Shackle clamp assembly
A shackle clamp assembly has one end configured as a cap for insertion on the end of a shackle bolt attached to a U-shaped shackle and second end configured as a loop for attachment around the U-shaped shackle. The cap has an aperture that aligns with a through-bore in the end of the shackle bolt. A pin is inserted through the aperture of the cap and the through-bore of the shackle bolt to retain the cap on the end of the shackle bolt. The cap abuts the nut threaded on the end of the shackle bolt to ensure that the nut does not become disconnected from the shackle bolt.
Shackle clamp assembly
A shackle clamp assembly has one end configured as a cap for insertion on the end of a shackle bolt attached to a U-shaped shackle and second end configured as a loop for attachment around the U-shaped shackle. The cap has an aperture that aligns with a through-bore in the end of the shackle bolt. A pin is inserted through the aperture of the cap and the through-bore of the shackle bolt to retain the cap on the end of the shackle bolt. The cap abuts the nut threaded on the end of the shackle bolt to ensure that the nut does not become disconnected from the shackle bolt.
Mining pin retention system
Several embodiments of a drive pin retention system for mining chains comprise a drive pin, dowel pin, and retainer, wherein the dowel pin is fitted through the holes of a retainer aligned with the holes of the dowel pin and pressed with force so that the tolerance between the dowel pin and retainer is very close. In one embodiment, the retainer is tack welded and then the dowel pin is tack welded to further increase the tolerance and prevent loosening or movement of the retainer due to vibration.
Mining pin retention system
Several embodiments of a drive pin retention system for mining chains comprise a drive pin, dowel pin, and retainer, wherein the dowel pin is fitted through the holes of a retainer aligned with the holes of the dowel pin and pressed with force so that the tolerance between the dowel pin and retainer is very close. In one embodiment, the retainer is tack welded and then the dowel pin is tack welded to further increase the tolerance and prevent loosening or movement of the retainer due to vibration.
