Multi-layer toy
A multi-layer toy having at least one outer layer adjacent a planar layer or a ball where both the outer layer and the adjacent planar layer or ball each contain related information such that, in play, the information on the outer layer is made to align with the related information on the adjacent planar layer or ball. The information can comprise depictions of objects, things, characters, animals, or words, for a matching game, or the information can comprise numbers for a counting or mental math game. The toy is preferably sized to be hand-held.
Board for use as a book page or puzzle with moving component that alters an illustration and exposes a sensor to activate a corresponding sound
Described is a board that is operable as a children's book or puzzle with parts that move, slide or turn on one lateral plane to physically change an illustration or part of the item and, as they slide or turn, activate a noise related to the illustration. The board includes a generally planar top illustrative layer. A bottom base layer is attached with the top illustrative layer. The bottom base layer includes a light sensor and sound generation components for generating a sound based upon actuation of the light sensor. A moving component is movably connected with the bottom base layer. Finally, the light sensor is connected with the bottom base layer and positioned such that moving the moving component from a first position to a second position exposes the light sensor to cause the sound generation components to generate a sound.
Article Moveable Between Two Positions And A Method Of Combining Two Or More Of The Same
An article is moveable between a first position and a second position and biased to the second position. The article is retained in the first position by retaining means until a predetermined condition is met and when met, the biasing means are released to move the article from the first position to the second position. The predetermined condition is met when at least one formation of a plurality of formations located with respect to at least one face of the article is moved from a first position to a second position, thereby releasing the retaining means. The article further includes user selection means to allow the user to select which one, or combination, of the plurality of formations, when moved, will cause the release of the retaining means.
Puzzle and a method of making thereof
A puzzle including a background puzzle surface having printed thereon a background puzzle image including image areas and blank areas, and at least one puzzle piece formed of a transparent material having printed thereon a puzzle piece image including image areas and blank transparent areas. When solving the puzzle, the at least one puzzle piece is superimposed over the background puzzle surface and is moved thereon to a correct location in which the image areas of the background puzzle image together with the image areas of the puzzle piece image match and form a cohesive image.
The bottom base layer includes a sensor (e.g., light or touch sensor) and sound generation components for generating a sound based upon actuation of the sensor. A moving component is movably connected with the bottom base layer. Finally, the sensor is connected with the bottom base layer and positioned such that moving the moving component from a first position to a second position exposes the sensor to cause the sound generation components to generate a sound.
PUZZLE ASSEMBLY SYSTEM AND METHOD
A puzzle assembly system including a puzzle assembly tool having a handle; an illuminator; a powerer; and a magnifier having a body with a front-face; a rear-face; a thickness; and a periphery; wherein the puzzle assembly tool comprises the handle, the illuminator, and the magnifier in functional combination. The illuminator is preferably integral with the handle and powered by the powerer during use. The illuminator is configured to illuminate puzzle pieces for assembly. As designed the magnifier is configured to magnify the puzzle pieces during use (via a magnifying lens) and the puzzle pieces are able to be manipulated via a user moving the body of the magnifier during puzzle-assembly to scoop and place sections or individual puzzle pieces.
Dual function kaleidoscope
A kaleidoscope has an inside scaffold that allows the kaleidoscope to be used as both a toy and packaging for merchandise. The kaleidoscope preferably has a body with a chamber at one end that includes freely movable ornaments. A cap having an eyehole is configured to matingly close the body. Inside the body, three or more reflective surfaces are positioned at an angle to each other to form a polygon. The scaffold is disposed in the body, surrounded by the reflective surfaces, and has a cross-sectional shape sized and dimensioned to prevent the scaffold from moving or rotating relative to the reflective surfaces. Preferably, the scaffold has a polygonal cross-sectional shape substantially similar to the polygon formed by the reflective surfaces. A product (e.g., a lipstick) can be stored inside the scaffold without being able to move freely inside the kaleidoscope.
CARD GAME PLAYING CARD
A playing card having a substrate entirely of a first predetermined colour overlaid with a removable surface coating entirely of a second predetermined colour contrasting with said first predetermined colour, said removable surface being sufficiently friable so as to be able to be scratched off by a player in a pattern predetermined by said player to reveal said substrate in said pattern. The scratched playing card uses the high contrasting colors (typically primary and secondary colors) to produce letters or image(s). These cards are interchangeably used in a strategic and non gambling card game often utilising the Stroop effect.
Two-card sleeve apparatus
A two-card sleeve apparatus is described. The two-card sleeve apparatus may include a first transparent layer, an opaque layer, and a second transparent layer. The two-card sleeve apparatus may be used to safely store or display two or more trading cards.
Puzzle and a method of making thereof
A puzzle including a background puzzle surface having printed thereon a background puzzle image including image areas and blank areas, and at least one puzzle piece formed of a transparent material having printed thereon a puzzle piece image including image areas and blank transparent areas. When solving the puzzle, the at least one puzzle piece is superimposed over the background puzzle surface, and is moved thereon to a correct location in which the image areas of the background puzzle image together with the image areas of the puzzle piece image match and form a cohesive image.
