Gear Locking Mechanism

A gear locking mechanism includes a gear (or a sprocket wheel) having a series of substantially identical teeth and a locking tongue having a tooth (or teeth) configured in a locked position to engage the gear or sprocket wheel between any two of the series of substantially identical teeth of the gear or sprocket wheel. An anchoring structure restricts a degree of rotation of at least a portion of the locking tongue in the locked position. In the unlocked position, the restriction on the freedom of rotation is released. The locking tongue divided by a fixed pivot includes a movable distal portion of a see-saw having the tooth with the anchoring structure exerting a force against the proximal portion. Alternatively, the locking tongue rotates on a pin on a distal end and the anchoring structure urges a proximal portion toward the gear to lock.

A transmission device, particularly for an engine with variable compression rate and/or variable displacement, includes, in a cylinder housing: a combustion piston capable of moving in a combustion cylinder of the engine and secured to a transmission member; a gear engaging with a first rack of the transmission member and providing transmission of the movement between the combustion piston and a crankshaft of the engine; a connecting rod engaging, at a first end, with the gear and, at a second end, with the crankshaft; and a control member engaging with the gear and secured to a control piston. The combustion piston and the transmission member are slidably linked with the cylinder housing in a main direction.

The contact may be engageable with said conductor when the electrical connector is in the first position. The contact may not be engageable with said conductor when the electrical connector is in the second position. The biasing member may be configured to bias the contact into engagement with said conductor when the electrical connector is in the first position.

A support member may be connectable in a removable and adjustable manner to a track assembly. The support member may include an electrical connector, a contact, and a biasing member. The electrical connector may be adjustable to a first position and a second position. The contact may be connected to the electrical connector and configured to engage a conductor of said track assembly. The contact may be engageable with said conductor when the electrical connector is in the first position. The contact may not be engageable with said conductor when the electrical connector is in the second position. The biasing member may be configured to bias the contact into engagement with said conductor when the electrical connector is in the first position.

An actuating unit for a brake booster of a vehicle is disclosed, the actuating unit having a housing and a force transmission module which is received displaceably in the housing. The force transmission module has a first force transmission element, a second force transmission element which is couplable or coupled to the first force transmission element so as to transmit force, a spring device which is couplable or coupled to the second force transmission element so as to transmit force and an actuating element which is couplable or coupled to the first force transmission element. The spring device is configured to exert a spring force on the first and/or second force transmission element such that the first and/or second force transmission element is able to be held at least temporarily in a predetermined initial position. The first and/or second force transmission element is adjustable from the initial position counter to the spring force of the spring device by an adjustment path by a force exerted and/or transmitted onto the first force transmission element. The force transmission module is configured to decouple the first force transmission element from the spring device after a defined adjustment path, as well as a brake booster, vehicle brake system and subassembly therefor.
