Stator assembly
A stator assembly for a torque converter includes a body and a washer. The body is rotatable about an axis and has a cavity defined by an axial wall radially spaced from the axis and a radial wall extending radially inward from the axial wall. The washer is disposed in the cavity and is configured to be compressed against the radial wall. The washer includes a base and a plurality of circumferentially spaced from each other and extending radially outward from the base. The plurality of tabs are configured to non-rotatably connect to the axial wall.

A transmission assembly and a method of assembling a transmission assembly that is located between the engine block and the transmission gearbox is provided. The assembly includes a hub having a fluid path for a clutch and a hub flange, a torque converter cover formed with extruded studs in an area adapted to be connected to the hub flange, the extruded studs including a circumferential outer surface having a plurality of serrations, holes in the hub flange in locations corresponding to locations of the extruded studs, with a respective inside diameter of each of the holes being smaller than an outside diameter of the studs; and the hub being connected to the torque converter cover with the studs engaging in the holes in the hub flange with an interference fit.
Torque converter cover to pilot assembly
A method of assembling a pilot to a torque converter cover is provided with the method including: (a) providing the pilot having an annular projection in a connection region; (b) forming a torque converter cover of a torque converter with a complementary recess or annular groove to the annular projection in a mating connection region; (c) positioning the pilot on the torque converter cover with the annular projection at least partially received in the complementary recess or annular groove; and (d) applying force and energy to the pilot to weld the pilot to the torque converter cover. A torque converter assembly is also provided.

Torque converter thrust washer and seal plate assembly
A torque converter includes a front cover arranged to receive a torque and a damper assembly including an output flange arranged to non-rotatably connect to a transmission input shaft. The torque converter further includes a seal plate disposed between the front cover and the output flange. The seal plate is non-rotatably connected to the cover. The torque converter further includes a thrust washer including a body axially disposed between the seal plate and the output flange. The thrust washer is fixed to the seal plate.

A torque converter includes a front cover arranged to receive a torque and a damper assembly including an output flange arranged to non-rotatably connect to a transmission input shaft. The torque converter further includes a seal plate disposed between the front cover and the output flange. The seal plate is non-rotatably connected to the cover. The torque converter further includes a thrust washer including a body axially disposed between the seal plate and the output flange. The thrust washer is fixed to the seal plate.

CORE RING FOR TORQUE CONVERTER
A core ring for a torque converter is disclosed herein. The core ring includes a plurality of through openings and a plurality of recesses each connected to a respective through opening of the plurality of through openings. The recesses are each dimensioned to receive a portion of a blade, and specifically a blade tip formed on an adjacent torque converter component.
