Brake unit
A brake unit that is downsized without reducing brake torque applied to wheels. The brake unit comprises: a first brake device that applies brake torque to a first rotary shaft; a first speed reducing device that transmits the brake torque to a first drive shaft connected the right wheel; a second brake device that applies brake torque to the second rotary shaft; and a second speed reducing device that transmits the brake torque to the second drive shaft connected to the right wheel. A rotational center axis of the first rotary shaft extends parallel to that of the first driveshaft, and a rotational center axis of the second rotary shaft extends parallel to that of a second driveshaft.
Axle drive unit with a power-shiftable 2-way transmission
In the case of an axle drive unit with a power-shiftable two-speed transmission unit, in order to enable particularly simple and advantageous control of a gear change and to manage with a small number of components and a less complex control logic and control sensor system, the coordination of mechanically-passively implemented shifting thresholds of a friction clutch and a blocking device of a freewheel is provided, which makes it possible to control the friction clutch and the blocking device with the same control variable at always the same level.
A DRIVE UNIT ASSEMBLY WITH POWER BOOST AND TORQUE VECTORING
A drive unit having motor output shaft that is connected to a sun gear is connected to one or more planetary gears that are connected to a planetary gear housing. The housing is connected to planetary gear assembly pinion gear, which is connected to a ring gear. A first side of the ring gear is connected to a first clutch drum and the second side of the ring gear is connected to a second clutch drum. Connected to the first clutch drum is a first plurality of clutch plates interleafed with a second plurality of clutch plates connected to a first clutch can. The first clutch can is connected to a first shaft. Connected to the second clutch drum is a third plurality of clutch plates interleafed with a fourth plurality of clutch plates connected to a second clutch can. The second clutch can is connected to a second shaft.
Piston apparatus for use with vehicle clutches
Piston apparatus for use with vehicle clutches are disclosed. A disclosed drive unit assembly for a vehicle includes a housing defining a first cavity and a second cavity fluidly coupled together. The drive unit assembly also includes a clutch positioned in the first cavity. Rotation of the clutch conveys a fluid from the first cavity to the second cavity. The drive unit assembly also includes a port extending from the second cavity to the first cavity to receive the fluid. The drive unit assembly also includes a piston positioned in the first cavity proximate to the port and configured to operate the clutch. Movement of the piston relative to the port controls a flow of the fluid through the port from the second cavity to the first cavity.
Differential device for 4-wheel-drive vehicle
A differential device for a 4-wheel-drive vehicle wherein a portion of a drive power source drive force transmitted to left and right main drive wheels is transmitted to left and right auxiliary drive wheels through a propeller shaft which is disconnectable from a power transmitting path between the main drive wheels and drive power source, the differential device distributes the drive force from the propeller shaft to the auxiliary drive wheels, and selectively connects and disconnects the propeller and an output shaft to and from each other, the output shaft. The differential device includes a side oil seal between the output shaft and a casing, a side bearing adjacent to the seal in an output shaft axial direction such that the output shaft is rotatably supported by the casing via the bearing, and an oil slinger axially adjacent to the bearing so the slinger is rotated with the output shaft.
