Washing machine

A washing machine is provided. The washing machine includes an input shaft, configured to supply a rotary power to a rotation part for rotating washings; a motor, configured to rotate in a forward and backward direction and served as a power source of the rotation part; a transmission arranged between an output shaft of the motor and the input shaft of the rotation part. The transmission includes a transformable driving side pulley unit disposed on the output shaft; a transformable driven side pulley unit disposed on the input shaft; a driving belt for transferring power between the pulley unit. The driving side pulley unit/driven side pulley unit is directly installed on the output shaft/input shaft by locating each end of the output shaft/input shaft at a movable pulley and a fixed pulley respectively, so that the driving side pulley unit/driven side pulley unit rotates integrally with the output shaft/input shaft.

Embodiments are directed toward a pulley. The pulley preferably has a fixed side plate, an operable side plate, a sheave, and a double-action lock. The operable side plate is preferably transitionable between a closed configuration and an open configuration. The sheave is preferably disposed between the fixed side plate and the operable side plate. The double-action lock is preferably transitionable from a locked configuration to an unlocked configuration upon completion of two separate and distinct actions. The lock in the locked configuration preferably prevents transition of the operable side plate from the closed configuration to the open configuration. The lock in the unlocked configuration preferably permits transition of the operable side plate from the closed configuration to the open configuration.

Two-speed accessory drive pulley

An accessory drive pulley assembly is configured to transfer rotational power from an engine crankshaft to one or more vehicle accessories. The accessory drive pulley has an inner race rotatable about an axis and having an outer surface. An outer race is located radially outward from the inner race and has an inner surface facing the inner race. A wedge plate is located radially between the outer surface and the inner surface. The wedge plate is configured to expand and contract radially to selectively lock and unlock the inner race with the outer race. When locked, an associated pulley can rotate at a different speed than when unlocked.

By taking advantage of a normal distance between a corner sliding surface and a center point of the roller greater than a vertical distance between an upper sliding surface of the roller and the center point, a pulley disc assembly can be started lightly, the acceleration in the middle stage of the slide stroke is increased, and speed transmission in the rear stage of the slide stroke is increased.
