A drive unit for a powertrain of an electrically driveable motor vehicle is disclosed having a first electrical machine and a second electrical machine and an output shaft, wherein a rotor of the second electrical machine is connected to the output shaft for conjoint rotation. The drive unit also has a disconnect clutch, by which a rotor of the first electrical machine for torque transmission is connectable to the output shaft, wherein the rotor of one of the electrical machines is at least indirectly supported radially on the rotor of the other electrical machine by at least one bearing.

Drive device

In a drive device, a first flow path of a fluid connects a gear accommodation portion and an inlet of a pump. A second flow path connects an outlet of the pump and one end of a third flow path via a cooler. The third flow path is inside a partition wall of a housing and intersects a rotation axis of a first shaft. A fourth flow path connects another end of the third flow path and one end of a fifth flow path. The fifth flow path is inside a gear side lid of the housing. Another end of the fifth flow path is connected to one end of a second shaft in an axial direction. One end of a sixth flow path is connected to another end of the third flow path. Another end of the sixth flow path is inside a housing tubular portion.

A transmission may have an input shaft, a first output shaft, a second output shaft, and an integral differential functionally located between the input shaft and the two output shafts. The transmission may have a planetary gearset that has one or more gearset elements, and a spur gearset, which has a first spur gear and second spur gear that are intermeshed, where a first gearset element is connected to the input shaft for conjoint rotation, where a second gearset element is connected to the first output shaft for conjoint rotation, where a third gearset element is at least indirectly connected to first spur gear for conjoint rotation, and where the second spur gear is at least indirectly connected to the second output shaft for conjoint rotation.

A dual transmission with input shafts, output shafts, a transmission case and two separate single transmissions arranged in the transmission case is described. Each single transmission is a two-stage spur gear transmission with three positions for gear centers. A first position is occupied by an input shaft and a second position by an output shaft. A third position is for a middle stationary axle fixed to the transmission case. The three positions define a triangular arrangement having a first side defined by a distance between the first position and the second position, a second side defined by a distance between the first position and the third position, and a third side defined by a distance between the second position and the third position. The second side and the third side form respective angles with the first side. At least one of these angles has a value ranging between 5° and 70°.

A transmission includes an input shaft that couples to a prime mover, twin countershafts and a main shaft having gears coupled thereon, an output shaft that selectively provides a torque output to a driveline, a first shift actuator that selectively couples the input shaft to the main shaft. The transmission includes a second shift actuator that couples the main shaft to the output shaft with a selected reduction ratio, and a controller including a vehicle state circuit that interprets at least one vehicle operating condition, and a neutral enforcement circuit that provides a first neutral command to the first shift actuator and a second neutral command to the second shift actuator, in response to the at least one vehicle operating condition indicating that vehicle motion is not intended.

Actuator pads and strut pockets are formed into opposing sides of at least one side wall of the transmission case. The side wall is strong enough to receive the forces created by the strut engaging the coupling elements, while eliminating the need for an extra coupling member that otherwise extends between the transmission housing side wall and the notch plate.
