A unit includes a heat exchanger; a motor case configured to accommodate a motor; and an inverter case configured to accommodate an inverter, wherein the inverter case has a portion that overlaps the heat exchanger and the motor case when viewed in a predetermined direction.

Transmission housing (1) having a body (2) formed by two shells (2A, 2B) and comprising a rotary input shaft (4) and an output shaft (5), the rotary input shaft (4) comprising a driving end (6) and a threaded portion (7) and having mounted on it a rolling-element bearing (8) arranged between the threaded portion (7) and the driving end (6), said housing (1) creating, inside the enclosure (3), a station (12) for receiving the rolling-element bearing (8) and a station (13) for receiving the threaded portion (7). The housing (1) comprises a barrier (14) positioned between said stations (12, 13), this barrier (14) extending around said input shaft (4), creating a through-passage (15) for access for the input shaft (4) from one station (12) to the other (13), this barrier (14) being formed in at least two portions (16, 17), each barrier portion (16, 17) being produced in a single piece with the associated shell (2A, 2B), at least one of the barrier portions (16, 17) being shaped so as to create at least one deflector (161) formed at least partially by an inclined surface having a slope that descends from the body (2) of the housing (1) towards the input shaft (4), when the input shaft (4) is positioned vertically with the rolling-element bearing (8) extending above the threaded portion (7) of the input shaft (4).

Systems are provided for a split differential housing. The split differential housing is bisected at an axis on a vertical plane. The split differential housing comprises a first housing member coupled to a second housing member at an interface centered on the vertical plane, wherein the axis is coaxial with a central axis of a drive axle.

A gearbox case which includes a gear cavity breather device contained within the gearbox case to allow pressure equalization between the interior gearbox cavity and the external environment, while ensuring lubricant is kept in the gearbox. According to a preferred embodiment, the breather device contained within gearbox case may be formed as a spring-loaded ball valve to ensure external contaminants are kept out of the gearbox while allowing air to pass.

A multi-speed transmission including a plurality of planetary gearsets and a plurality of selective couplers is disclosed. The multi-speed transmission may include a retarder including a retarder housing, a rotor positioned in the retarder housing and fixedly coupled to a portion of the plurality of planetary gearsets, and a stator positioned in the retarder housing and fixedly coupled to at least one stationary member.

A power transmission device includes a housing, and a power transmission assembly including a plurality of gears accommodated in the housing. The housing includes an outer peripheral wall covering the power transmission assembly, and a front wall covering the power transmission assembly from ahead thereof. The housing is opened backward. The power transmission assembly is positioned behind the front wall except for a structure penetrating the front wall.

A power transmission device includes a housing that accommodates a power transmission mechanism, a partition section that is provided in the housing and that supports the power transmission mechanism, a first oil path that is provided inside the partition section, a second oil path that is provided inside the partition section, a recess that is provided in the partition section, and a filter member that is disposed inside the recess. The recess is provided with an opening facing a direction of an axis of rotation of the power transmission device. The first oil path and the second oil path communicate via the recess.

An actuator includes a housing defining a cavity. The actuator further includes a hub disposed in the cavity. The actuator further includes a controller disposed in the cavity and supported by the hub. The actuator further includes potting compound surrounding the controller within the cavity.

A multi-speed transmission including a plurality of planetary gearsets and a plurality of selective couplers is disclosed. The multi-speed transmission may include a retarder including a retarder housing, a rotor positioned in the retarder housing and fixedly coupled to a portion of the plurality of planetary gearsets, and a stator positioned in the retarder housing and fixedly coupled to at least one stationary member.
