VEHICLE CASING
A vehicle casing includes a metal frame and a resin cover that covers the metal frame. The resin cover accommodates vehicle components inside the metal frame. The metal frame includes a bearing supporting boss portion that rotatably supports, inside the resin cover, a shaft member that is one of the vehicle components and rotates about a shaft center, and a mount boss portion that is for fixing the vehicle casing to a vehicle body. The bearing supporting boss portion is disposed at a position separate from an inner surface of the resin cover. The resin cover is disposed to cover the entire metal frame except a portion provided with the mount boss portion.
Two-wheeled vehicle
An engine includes a first cylinder communicating with a first intake port and a first exhaust port, and an exhaust assembly coupled to the engine and including a first exhaust manifold coupled to the first exhaust port. The first exhaust manifold is angled relative to the first exhaust port.
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE PROVIDED WITH TURBOCHARGER
An internal combustion engine, includes: an engine main body; a structural member disposed around the engine main body; a bracket including a support plate and a plurality of leg pieces depending from the support plate and connected to the structural member; a turbocharger including a turbine and a compressor, the turbine being connected to a side of the support plate opposite to the structural member; an exhaust pipe connected to a central part of the turbine and extending in a direction away from the compressor; and an engine auxiliary disposed between the structural member and the support plate, wherein the leg pieces are arranged unevenly to provide a higher heat shielding performance on a side of the exhaust pipe than on a side of the compressor with respect to the support plate.
Systems and methods for power takeoff attachment
This invention relates to power takeoff devices (PTOs), which are useful for mounting on transmissions and for performing, directly or indirectly, useful work via the PTO's rotatable output shaft. A system and method designed for quick and convenient installation of a PTO and an attachment element. In some embodiments, the attachment element is an adapter configured to secure a transmission and the PTO is configured to attach to the adapter.
CRANK CASE STRUCTURE
A crank case structure that can reduce a front-rear dimension of the crank case to reduce the size of a power unit. A crank case structure adapted to a crank case (9) that houses a crankshaft (C) of a power unit (P), including a crank case cover (20) attached to a side surface of the crank case (9), a push rod (31) that is disposed parallel to the crankshaft (C) and reciprocates to disengage a clutch (CL), and a clutch drive unit (30) that reciprocates the push rod (31). A through hole (32), through which the push rod (31) passes, is formed within an area of a sealing surface (29), the sealing surface (29) is formed in the crank case (9) to attach to the crank case cover (20), and the clutch drive unit (30) is attached to the crank case cover (20).
Electric axle with compact electric machine and gear train layout
An electric axle is provided. The electric axle includes, in one example, an electric machine rotationally coupled to a layshaft via a first gear reduction and a differential rotationally coupled to the first gear reduction, a first axle shaft, and a second axle shaft. In the electric axle, the electric machine is positioned laterally between at least two drive wheels that are rotationally coupled to the first axle shaft and the second axle shaft and a rotational axis of the electric machine is axially offset from rotational axes of the at least two drive wheels.
DRIVE UNIT FOR STRADDLED VEHICLE
A drive unit for a straddled vehicle includes an engine main body unit, a transmission unit, and a shared lubrication oil supply mechanism. The shared lubrication oil supply mechanism includes a first booster pump which pressurizes the shared lubrication oil lubricating both the engine main body unit and the transmission unit and a second booster pump which pressurizes at least part of the shared lubrication oil which has been pressurized by the first booster pump and which is in a positive pressure condition.
POWER TRAIN
A power train includes an engine including an engine case; a transmission including a transmission case that is fastened to the engine case; an electric motor provided inside the transmission case; and a heat insulator provided between the engine case and the transmission case, and being lower than thermal conductivity of the engine case and thermal conductivity of the transmission case.
Gearbox of power unit
A gearbox of a power unit includes a transmission, a shift drum provided with lead grooves, a shift drum feed mechanism, and a drive side-shift fork and driven side-shift forks respectively provided with engaging portions to be engaged with the lead grooves. At least one lead groove is a common lead groove with which the engaging portion of the drive side-shift fork and the engaging portion of the driven side-shift fork are engaged at an angular interval, which is a positive multiple integral of a feed angle of the shift drum, with respect to a rotation center of the shift drum. The drive side-shift fork and driven side-shift fork, whose engaging portions are engaged with the common lead groove, are guided by the same axially shifted groove portions provided in the common lead groove, and thereby establish speeds of the transmission.
Speed change apparatus for vehicle
A speed change apparatus includes a transmission, a change mechanism configured to move a gear or gears so as to change gear position, a force accumulation mechanism which includes a shift spindle and a force accumulation spring. The shift spindle is provided, in a rotatable manner, with a master arm configured to operate the change mechanism. A return spring is configured to bias the master arm toward a neutral position. A sub return spring, separate from the return spring and which directly biases the shift spindle toward the neutral position, is provided between the shift spindle and a case member.
