TRANSMISSION FLUID NOZZLE
An apparatus is provided. The apparatus may include an elongated shaft including a passage terminating at a nozzle including a dispersion plate and tapered sidewalls between the dispersion plate and the elongated shaft. The tapered side walls may define a single opening, an outer surface of the sidewalls may define a tapered exit for the opening, an inner surface of the sidewalls may define a non-tapered entrance into the opening, the nozzle is sized to be received by a transmission case inlet, and an internal diameter of the passage is less than the tapered exit.
BYPASS FOR PURGING AN OIL CIRCUIT
A gearbox arrangement with an oil circuit, including at least one lubrication point incorporated in the oil circuit and at least one direction control valve with at least two switching positions and at least three ports, the at least three ports including a first port, a second port, and a third port. In a first switching position the first port and the third port are connected to each other in an oil-conducting manner and disconnected from the second port. In a second switching position, the first port and the second port are connected to each other in an oil-conducting manner and disconnected from the third port. The lubrication point and the second port are connected to each other in an oil-conducting manner. The lubrication point and the third port are not connected to each other in an oil-conducting manner.
Rear portal gear assembly for trailing arms
A rear portal trailing arm assembly for a vehicle rear suspension that includes a CV joint hub for coupling with a transaxle and a wheel hub for coupling with a rear wheel. A gear transfer case extends rearward from the CV joint hub to an axle case and functions similarly to a rear trailing arm. Forward mounts facilitate coupling the gear transfer case to the chassis such that the trailing arm assembly pivots vertically with respect to the chassis. A rearward mount facilitates coupling a strut with the gear transfer case to control the vertical motion of the rear wheel. Multiple gear assemblies are meshed within the gear transfer case. An axle is coupled with the meshed gear assemblies and housed within the axle case, such that torque applied to the CV joint hub is communicated to the wheel hub.
Receptacle for a fluid, in particular engine oil pan or transmission oil pan for a motor vehicle
The disclosure provides a receptacle for a fluid, in particular an engine oil pan or transmission oil pan for a motor vehicle, comprising at least one, in the installed position, lower drain opening and at least one closing body which can be inserted in the drain opening, the drain opening and the closing body forming parts, configured to be complementary to one another, of a closure which seals the receptacle and the closure being in the form of a bayonet closure. The receptacle according to the disclosure is distinguished by the fact that the closing body is centered in the drain opening by a sealing means.
Hydraulic pump assembly with forward driveshaft clearance
A vehicle mounted hydraulic pump assembly includes a gearbox that is configured to be connected to a power take-off that is driven by a transmission of a four-wheel drive vehicle. The gearbox includes an input gear and an output gear where a radius of the input gear is the same as a radius of an output gear. A female output connector is associated with the output gear and is configured to be disposed below a forward driveshaft that is associated with the transmission. A hydraulic pump is connected to the gearbox and is configured to be disposed forward of a transfer case that is also associated with the transmission.
Liquid distribution system
A liquid distribution system for a hub includes a liquid supply portion arranged to supply liquid to at least one component located within the hub. The liquid distribution system further includes a liquid evacuator portion arranged to act on liquid being inside the hub evacuating liquid from the hub. The liquid evacuator portion is arranged to be driven by liquid that flows via the liquid supply portion for evacuating liquid from the hub.
TORQUE MULTIPLIER MODULE
A torque multiplier module is disclosed for use with a wrench. The torque multiplier module may include a sealed housing having an input opening and an output opening, and a planetary gear arrangement disposed inside the sealed housing. The planetary gear arrangement may be configured to engage an external input received from the wrench via the input opening. The torque multiplier module may also include a drive fitting connected to the planetary gear arrangement and accessible via the output opening.
Gerotor pump as for a transmission
A gerotor pump arrangement for extracting hydraulic fluid from a transmission housing of a transmission. A first gerotor set has a first inner rotor and a first outer rotor, and a second gerotor set has a second inner rotor and a second outer rotor. The first gerotor set forms a hydraulically drivable drive side of the gerotor pump arrangement, and the second gerotor set forms a pump side, driven by the first gerotor set, wherein the first and second inner rotors are rotationally fixedly mounted on a common shaft which is rotatable about a rotational axis. A transmission with such a gerotor pump arrangement is also disclosed.
Apparatuses and methods for servicing lubrication in a lower gearcase of an outboard marine engine
An outboard marine engine comprises an internal combustion engine; a lower gearcase, a set of gears disposed in the lower gearcase, the set of gears being configured to transfer power from the internal combustion engine to drive a propulsor to generate a thrust on the outboard marine engine, and a dipstick that extends into the lower gearcase. The dipstick is removable from the lower gearcase and configured to indicate a level of lubrication in the lower gearcase.
Apparatus and method for supplying lubricant to movable member of instrument
An apparatus which can easily and reliably prevent leakage of lubricant is provided. The apparatus comprises a casing storing the lubricant at the inside and formed with a hole, a jig which can be taken out from and inserted into the inside of the casing through the hole, and a communication part provided at the jig or at the casing separate from the hole and communicating the inside of the casing with the outside. An amount of outside air corresponding to the volume which the part of the jig occupied at the inside of the casing is introduced to the inside of the casing through the communication part when that part of the jig is pulled out from the inside of the casing.
