The invention concerns an epicycloidal gear train (10) comprising a central pinion (26), an outer crown (28) and satellite pinions (32) in engagement with the central pinion (26) and the outer crown (28) and each mounted freely rotatable on a satellite carrier (36), the gear train (10) comprising an annular cup (56) being integral with the satellite carrier (36) and open radially inward. According to the invention, the cup (56) is divided into a circumferential succession of first basins (60) of the first oil circuit and second basins (62) of the second oil circuit, the first basins (60) being fluidly separated from the second cells (62) and characterised in that the cup (56) comprises two annular walls (56a, 56b) axially facing, the annular wall (56b) of which is furthest from a median transverse plane (74) of the gear train (10) has openings (76) opening into the second basins (62).
Lubricant supply apparatus for chain in internal combustion engine
Provided is an apparatus for supplying lubricant to a timing chain installed in an engine, the apparatus including an injection hole configured for injecting lubricant from an oil pump, and an inner cover having a guide groove configured to receive lubricant injected from the injection hole and guide the lubricant toward a engagement place between the timing chain and a sprocket, wherein the inner cover has a guide groove provided at a position facing an injection hole of a counter surface portion that is spaced apart from a cylinder block and faces the guide groove.
TOROIDAL CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION AND DRIVE MECHANISM-INTEGRATED ELECTRICITY GENERATION APPARATUS FOR AIRCRAFT
Provided is a toroidal continuously variable transmission that can achieve suitable oil feed both for lubrication at contact interfaces between a power roller and discs and for cooling of the power roller; and a drive mechanism-integrated electricity generation apparatus for an aircraft, the electricity generation apparatus including the toroidal continuously variable transmission. The toroidal continuously variable transmission includes at least one lubrication outlet that discharges an oil toward at least one contact interface between an input or output disc and the power roller; and at least one cooling outlet that discharges the oil toward the power roller. The cooling outlet and the lubrication outlet are arranged such that a distance between the cooling outlet and a point at which the oil discharged from the cooling outlet contacts the power roller is smaller than a distance between the lubrication outlet and the contact interface.
PLANET CARRIER FOR A MECHANICAL GEARBOX OF AN AIRCRAFT TURBOMACHINE
A planet carrier for a mechanical gearbox for a turbomachine includes a one-piece cage that extends about an axis of rotation defining an internal housing configured to receive a sun gear and planet gears of the gearbox. The planet carrier further includes a lubrication system with at least one bore formed in the cage and extending parallel to the axis over more than 30% of a maximum axial dimension (Lmax) of the cage. The lubrication system also includes for the at least one bore, at least two sprinklers which are fitted to the cage and which are each mounted in a recess of the cage.
Low profile auxiliary lubrication system
A lubrication system for a transmission assembly includes a primary reservoir, at least one primary jet, a primary circulating system fluidly coupling the primary reservoir and the at least one primary jet, a secondary reservoir, at least one secondary jet, and a secondary circulating system fluidly coupling the primary reservoir and the at least one secondary jet and fluidly coupling the primary reservoir and the secondary reservoir.
GEARED GAS TURBINE ENGINE WITH COMBINED SPRAY BAR AND SCAVENGE COMPONENT
A gear reduction includes a sun gear that engages a plurality of planet gears mounted on a carrier. The planet gears are engaged with a ring gear. The ring gear is fixed against rotation such that rotation of the sun gear causes rotation of the planet gears to cause rotation of the carrier. There are spray bars positioned circumferentially between adjacent ones of the planet gears. The spray bars have jet openings, such that lubricant can be passed directly onto teeth on the sun gear. One of the side faces has a plurality of windows such that oil can be scavenged. There are side surfaces between plurality of windows that do not have an opening. A gas turbine engine and a spray bar are also disclosed.
Oil pump receiving bore lip
A gearbox system for a rotorcraft includes a gearbox housing, an oil pump receiving bore formed into the gearbox housing and having formed therein a first opening having a first diameter and a second opening, and an oil pump positioned within the oil pump receiving bore. The second opening is bounded by a lip that extends radially into the second opening, the second opening having a second diameter that is smaller than the first diameter.
VEHICLE TRANSMISSION WITH A LUBRICATION SYSTEM AND A CONNECTION FOR ATTACHING A POWER TAKE-OFF MODULE TO THE VEHICLE TRANSMISSION
A vehicle transmission (1) which comprises a lubrication system and a connection for attaching a power take-off module (9) to the vehicle transmission. The lubrication system is designed to lubricate the vehicle transmission and the power take-off module (9). The lubrication system has a pressure feed (13) and a lubricant line (12) fed with lubricant from the pressure feed. By way of a first section (12A), the lubricant line (12) leads to at least one lubrication point of the vehicle transmission and, by way of a second section (12B), to a lubricant tapping point (15) of the vehicle transmission for the power take-off module. A throttle (17) and a first valve (18), connected parallel to the throttle, are arranged in the second section (12B). The first valve (18) is designed to open toward the lubricant tapping point if the lubricant pressure rises to a first pressure level.
TRANSFER CASE OFF-AXIS PUMP
A transfer case pump includes an oil pump, a cover assembly, and a torque transfer mechanism. The oil pump has a pump shaft, and is configured to pressurize a lubricant in response to a rotation of the pump shaft. The pump shaft rotates around a pump axis.
