SHIFT-LEVER ASSEMBLY FOR MANUAL TRANSMISSION
A shift-lever assembly for a manual transmission is provided. The assembly includes a rotary member that is rotatably coupled to a lower portion of a main rod and mounting portions that are connected to mount a shift cable to respective pieces of the rotary member. The rotary member is divided into the plurality of pieces. A shift shaft for a shift operation and a select shaft for a selecting operation are separated from each other to prevent the mounting portions, operated relative to each other during an operation of the main rod, from rotating.
GEAR SHIFTER ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE
A gear shifter assembly for a vehicle is described herein. The gear shifter assembly includes a base to be fixed in a vehicle, a shifter yoke mounted to the base by a main pivot shaft, a shift lever mounted to the shifter yoke by a pivotal bearing arranged to allow pivotal movements about a second pivotal axis perpendicular to the first pivotal axis, and an intermediate joint that provides the pivotal bearing of the shift lever. The intermediate joint is attached to the lower end of the shift lever by receiving select pivot pins projecting from the shift lever in recesses of the intermediate joint. The intermediate joint comprises opposite through holes aligned with an aperture in the shift lever for receiving the main pivot shaft. The intermediate joint is made of material having a lower modulus of elasticity than the materials of the shift lever and the shifter yoke.
Continuously adjustable shifter for vehicle
An adjustable shifter for a vehicle is provided. The adjustable shifter comprises a body, a shift shaft mounted within the body, and a height adjustment mechanism configured to adjust a height of the shift shaft relative to the body in a continuously adjustable manner throughout an operating height range of the shift shaft.
COUPLING DEVICE FOR A GEARSHIFT LEVER, GEARSHIFT LEVER DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COUPLING DEVICE
A coupling device for a shift lever of a motor vehicle shift lever device includes a moving sliding element having a receiver for accommodating a section of a shift lever and a guide for guiding a two-dimensional movement of the sliding element. The guide has at least one guide element with which the sliding element is engaged. The coupling device is distinguished in that the sliding element can move along two different movement axes (A, B) to the at least one guide element when engaged.
SHIFT-LEVER ASSEMBLY OF MANUAL TRANSMISSION
A shift-lever assembly of a manual transmission is provided. The assembly includes a lower lever that is rotatable forward and backward with respect to a shift-lever housing and is connected with one of a shift cable and a selection cable. Additionally, an upper lever is coupled to the lower lever to be rotatable left and right and is connected with a remaining one of the cables.
Shift device
A shift device in which a press-fit column of a control lever is press-fitted into and passed through a press-fit hole in a boot such that the boot forms a seal between the upper side and the lower side of the press-fit hole. A press-fit interference amount between the press-fit column and the press-fit hole is larger at a length direction intermediate side of the press-fit hole than at a length direction end portion side of the press-fit hole. This enables a reduction in the contact force between the press-fit column and a peripheral face of the press-fit hole at the length direction intermediate side of the press-fit hole to be suppressed, enabling the sealing performance of the press-fit hole in the boot to be improved.
PUSHBUTTON VEHICLE SHIFTER INTERFACE
A pushbutton shifter interface is provided on a vehicle and includes a plurality of pushbutton keys arranged horizontally on a dashboard. The pushbutton shifter interface may be fixedly coupled with the dashboard generally forward of a driver seat. The pushbutton shifter interface is accessible by a driver to select a vehicle operating mode.
AN ATTACHMENT FOR THE SHIFTER OF A GEARBOX OF A VEHICLE
The invention is a shift lockout guide for a vehicle equipped with a manual gearbox. It includes a user-operable means that, in preferred embodiments, is mounted to the shifter of the gear box and is linked to an engagement portion that interacts with guide plates defining a path of travel for the shifter. A biasing means urges the engagement portion into the guide plates but this can be overridden by the driver through the user-operable means. The invention provides the driver of a vehicle fitted with the invention in the selection of specific gears while also preventing certain other gears from being selected. This reduces the risk of inadvertent overrevving of the vehicle's engine through inappropriate gear selection.
PUSHBUTTON VEHICLE SHIFTER INTERFACE USING PROXIMITY SENSING
A pushbutton shifter interface is provided that includes a movable assembly supporting a plurality of pushbutton keys. The pushbutton shifter interface also includes a proximity sensor arrangement configured to sense a user proximate the pushbutton keys and interfacing with one of the keys and an actuator actuating the movable assembly to a use position in response to sensing the user proximate the pushbutton keys. The pushbutton shifter interface further includes a display showing a sensed position of the user relative to the plurality of pushbutton keys.
