Vehicle shifter having a toggle cam with neutral lock
A vehicle shifter including a shift lever; a bracket that moves in response to the shift lever, and includes a neutral lock notch, a first outer surface and a second outer surface on either side of the neutral lock notch; a solenoid actuator movable between a first position and a second position; a blocker coupled to the solenoid actuator that moves the blocker between a neutral lock release position and a neutral lock position, the blocker including a neutral lock hook that, when in the neutral lock position, moves along the first and second outer surfaces and that selectively falls into the neutral lock notch to selectively prevent shifting out of the neutral position; and a toggle cam coupled to the bracket including a catch for engaging the neutral lock hook so as to prevent the neutral lock hook from sliding into the neutral lock notch.
Control assembly for zero turn device
A lawn mower includes a pair of electric motors configured to drive respective driven wheels and a control assembly. The control assembly includes a controller configured to control operation of the pair of electric motors, a bracket, a pivot bar, and rotation assembly. The rotation assembly is configured to rotatably mount the pivot bar to the bracket such that the pivot bar is configured to rotate between a forward position, a neutral position, and a rear position about a first axis and between an operative position and a stopped position about a second axis. The control assembly also includes a magnet and a position sensor spaced apart from the magnet. The position sensor is configured to detect rotation of the pivot bar about the first axis. The lawn mower also includes a return-to-neutral assembly configured to bias the pivot bar toward the neutral position about the first axis.
SELECTOR DEVICE FOR A USER INPUT FOR SHIFTING A VEHICLE GEARBOX, AND GEARBOX SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
A selector device for a user input for shifting a vehicle transmission may be connected to the vehicle transmission for signal transfer. The selector device may include a slider unit coupled to a selector knob for the user input, and a housing unit for receiving the slider unit. The slider unit may be moveable in relation to the housing unit in a translatory manner. The selector device may have a ball bearing unit, where the ball bearing unit is designed to guide the slider unit linearly in the housing unit.
One bump rotary monostable shifter
A rotary shifter having a knob bi-directionally and biasingly supported upon a housing in a monostable and return-to-center orientation. A printed circuit board assembly is incorporated into the housing and includes a sensor and a processor. A spur gear is rotatably supported within the housing and actuated by the knob, the spur gear supporting a magnet in proximity to the sensor. Rotation of the knob causing rotational displacement of the magnet relative to the sensor in order for the processor to instruct a change in shifter position. The knob incorporating a graphical display for indicating a current shifter position of the assembly.
MANUAL RELEASE FOR MEDICAL DEVICE DRIVE SYSTEM
A medical device drive system can include a rotational input, a coupling member engaged with the rotational input, a first gear having an engagement feature sized and shaped to engage with the coupling member, and a second gear coupled with the first gear, the second gear coupled to a movable element. The system can have a first system state and a second system state. In the first system state the coupling member is not engaged with the engagement feature and the first gear rotates without moving the coupling member. In the second system state the coupling member is engaged with the engagement feature of the first gear and rotation of the rotational input turns the coupling member, the first gear, and the second gear to move the movable element.
Control device for vehicle
A control device for a vehicle including (i) a power transmission device, (ii) a shift operation device that is to be operated by a driver of the vehicle to an operation position corresponding to a shift position of the power transmission device, and (iii) a switching device for switching the shift position of the power transmission device through actuation of an actuator. The control device is configured, upon occurrence of a momentary interruption of a control-device electric-power source that is supplied with an electric power from a vehicle electric-power source, to not perform an initial position learning process for setting a reference position of the actuator, until a shift switching operation for switching the shift position of the power transmission device is performed by a driver of the vehicle.
Vehicle shifter with scroll component
A scrolling shifter assembly having a housing rotatably supporting a scrolling wheel having a knurled exterior edge accessible to a vehicle operator, the scrolling wheel also including an annular side detent profile. A magnet is positioned in proximity to a sensor mounted to a printed circuit board (PCBA) within the housing and displaces relative to the sensor in response to rotation of the scrolling wheel. A display component is mounted in proximity to the PCBA. At least one haptic biasing component including any of spring loaded pawl or wave spring is supported within the housing and biases against the detent profile such that, and upon the operator actuating the scrolling wheel, the pawl is caused to displace relative to the profile in order to incrementally rotate the wheel, the magnet rotating relative to the PCBA sensor to cause an associated processor to electronically instruct a shift change to an engine control unit.
Integrated park module systems and methods
A shift-by-wire system comprises an integrated park module including a slider, a motor, a spring, and an actuator system. The slider can be disposed in a park position (PP) and a not-parked position (NPP) corresponding to a park mode and a not-park mode of a transmission, respectively. The motor and a gear-train cause the slider to move from the PP to the NPP and the spring urges the slider from the NPP to the PP. The actuator system retains the slider in the NPP after the motor and the gear-train have disengaged from the slider. The gear-train includes a default position (DP) corresponding to the PP and a maximum lift region (MLR) in which the actuator system retains the slider in the NPP. The gear-train rotates from the MLR to the DP while the actuator system retains the slider in the NPP.
Control assembly for zero turn device
A control assembly for use with a vehicle having a pivot arm for controlling output of the vehicle includes a bracket, a yoke attached to the pivot arm, and a shaft engaged to the yoke and extending into the bracket. The pivot arm is rotatable about a first axis of rotation between a neutral position and a plurality of forward positions and a plurality of reverse positions. When in the neutral position, the pivot arm may also rotate about a second axis of rotation between an operative position and a stopped position, and a switch may be engaged when the pivot arm is rotated to the stopped position. A return to neutral assembly may provide a return force to the pivot arm when it is rotated about the first axis of rotation away from the neutral position.
