Method of determining at least one shift parameter of a vehicle transmission
The present disclosure relates to a method for determining at least one shift parameter of a vehicle transmission (3), the vehicle transmission (3) comprising a first clutching device (8a) and a first speed ratio (9a); a second clutching device (8b) and a second speed ratio (9b); an input; and an output, wherein the input and the output of the transmission are connectable by the engaging first clutching device (8a) or the second clutching device (8b). The method comprises the steps: performing a shift by disengaging the first clutching device (8a) and/or engaging the second clutching device (8b), wherein the first clutching device (8a) stops transferring torque through the transmission at a first time point, wherein the second clutching device (8b) starts transferring torque through the transmission at a second time point, and determining the shift parameter at the first time point and/or at the second time point.
Hydraulic system for an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle
A hydraulic system for an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle, including a high pressure circuit in which a pressure accumulator, at least one clutch and a gear selector are connected, and comprising a low pressure circuit for cooling the clutch, wherein the high pressure circuit and the low pressure circuit have at least one hydraulic pump that can be driven by an electric motor, and including a control unit that actuates the electric motor of the hydraulic pump when a pressure accumulator charging requirement is detected, wherein the high and low pressure circuits are connected via a bypass line to an integrated accumulator charging valve.
MULTI-SPEED TRANSMISSIONS AND METHODS FOR SHIFTING MULTI-SPEED TRANSMISSIONS FOR MARINE VESSELS
A method for shifting a multi-speed transmission for transmitting rotation between an input shaft and an output shaft for a marine vessel. The method includes providing a multi-speed transmission having first and second gears engaged by actuating first and second clutches, and providing first and second pressure sensors that measure first and second pressures within the first and second clutches, respectively. The method further includes performing a first shift from the first gear to the second gear by de-actuating the first clutch a first delay after the second clutch is actuated, then measuring the first and second pressures and determining a first shift pressure at which the first and second pressures are substantially equal while performing the first shift. The method further includes comparing the first shift pressure to a first pressure threshold range and adjusting the first delay when the first shift pressure is outside the first pressure threshold range.
Systems and methods for operating transmission with auxiliary pump in power-limiting mode
A vehicle includes an engine and a transmission having an input shaft operably coupled to the engine, an output shaft operably coupled to wheels of the vehicle, a primary pump, and a secondary pump. The primary and secondary pumps are each configured to supply pressurized fluid to a valve body of the transmission. A controller is programmed to, in response to a loss of pressure of the primary pump and a speed of the output shaft exceeding a first threshold, shift the transmission to a neutral state, energize the secondary pump once the transmission is in the neutral state, and command the engine to idle speed.
TRANSMISSION CONTROL DEVICE
An output is calculated using, as an input, a measured value of a pump discharge pressure in a neural network having the pump discharge pressure as the input and a pump rotational speed as the output. A leakage degree of oil of the hydraulic circuit of a transmission is estimated based on a difference obtained by subtracting a measured value of the pump rotational speed from the calculated value of the output. Learning of the neural network is performed using, as teacher data, the measured values of the pump discharge pressure and the pump rotational speed in the transmission in which the leakage degree of oil is within an allowable range.
Hydraulic system for an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle
A hydraulic system for an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle, with which hydraulic cylinders of at least one clutch and of gear selectors can be actuated, which hydraulic system has a pressure accumulator for providing an accumulator pressure in the hydraulic system, wherein a clutch valve that can be actuated by the control unit is arranged in a clutch path leading from the pressure accumulator to the clutch hydraulic cylinder.
Hydraulic system for an automatic gearbox of a motor vehicle
A hydraulic system for an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle. A high-pressure circuit, in which a pressure accumulator, at least one clutch, and gear selectors and a hydraulic pump, which can be operated by an electronic control unit and by which the accumulator pressure in the high-pressure circuit can be increased in charging operation. A clutch valve that can be operated by the control unit is arranged in a clutch path between the pressure accumulator and a clutch hydraulic cylinder of the clutch, using which clutch valve a hydraulic pressure applied to the clutch hydraulic cylinder can be adjusted, and a safety valve that can be operated by the control unit is arranged upstream of the clutch valve.
Method and control unit for operating a vehicle drive train
A method for operating a vehicle drive train (1) includes, during a downshift, disengaging at least one shift element (A through F) from a power flow of the transmission (5), guiding a power transmission capacity of a torque converter lockup clutch (4) to a level at which the torque converter lockup clutch (4) is in a non-slip operating condition during a positive engine override when a rotational speed of a prime mover (2) is guided towards a synchronous speed of a demanded desired ratio, and guiding the power transmission capacity of the torque converter lockup clutch (4)—no later than a point in time of the downshift at which the rotational speed of the prime mover (2) is equal to the synchronous speed of the desired ratio—to a level at which the torque converter lockup clutch (4) is transferred into a continuous slip operation due to torque.
HYDRAULIC PRESSURE CALCULATION APPARATUS
A hydraulic pressure calculation apparatus is applied to a gear shifting system including a transmission configured to switch between a connected state and a disconnected state of a friction engagement element depending on a hydraulic pressure supplied from a hydraulic circuit, and a hydraulic controller configured to control the hydraulic circuit. The hydraulic pressure calculation apparatus includes a memory and a processor. The memory stores pieces of mapping data of a plurality of phases obtained by dividing a period from a start to an end of switching between the connected state and the disconnected state of the friction engagement element. Each piece of the mapping data defines a mapping. The processor is configured to output, as an output variable, an estimated hydraulic pressure variable indicating an estimated value of an actual hydraulic pressure supplied from the hydraulic circuit to the friction engagement element.
