INDEPENDENT WHEEL SHIFTABLE WHEEL DRIVES
Described herein are systems and techniques for utilizing a powered axle that includes a plurality of transmissions. The powered axle may include separate transmissions to power wheels on opposite ends of the powered axle. Each transmission of the powered axle may be operated independently of the other transmission. As such, the plurality of transmissions of the powered axle may be shifted independently of each other. Various control schemes may be provided for operation of such transmissions.
Closed-loop control of an infinitely variable transmission
A nonlinear closed-loop control combined with an integral time-delay feedback control is disclosed to adjust a speed ratio of an infinitely variable transmission (IVT) system. A speed ratio control for an IVT system involves a forward speed controller and a crank length controller for different speed ranges. The time-delay control is designed to reduce speed fluctuations of the output speed of an IVT with an accurate speed ratio. The speed ratio of an IVT with the disclosed control strategy can achieve an excellent tracking response for the desired constant output speed and reduce speed fluctuations of the output speed of an IVT by the time-delay feedback control.

Device for sensing the linear position of a transmission member in the form of a cable attached to a lever of a motor vehicle gearbox
A device for detecting the position of a lever includes a member being connected on at least one of its ends to a cable end piece that is fitted sliding into a fixed sheath end piece. The device comprises a magnet fitted inside a pipe that constitutes the cable end piece and a Hall Effect Sensor positioned on one part of the sheath end piece in order to detect the movement between the cable end piece and the sheath end piece, which corresponds to a movement of the lever.

SHIFT ACTUATOR FOR TRACTOR
A transmission actuator for tractor includes: a motor which provides power; rails which are movable by operating the motor; a rail sensor which detects a neutral state of the rails; a position sensor which detects a movement displacement of the rails; and a rotation sensor which is mounted to the motor to detect the number of revolutions of the motor.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING TRANSMISSION OF VEHICLE
A method of controlling a transmission of a vehicle, includes determining, by a controller, whether a shift prohibition condition for preventing overheating of the transmission of the vehicle in a terrain mode, which is a rough road driving mode of the vehicle, is satisfied; determining, by the controller, whether a shift operation of the transmission corresponding to a busy shift phenomenon of the transmission is detected when the shift prohibition condition is satisfied; and prohibiting, by the controller, shifting of the transmission when the shift operation of the transmission corresponding to the busy shift phenomenon of the transmission is detected.

High efficiency, high output transmission having an aluminum housing
A transmission includes an input shaft coupled to a prime mover, a countershaft, main shaft, and an output shaft, with gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. A shift actuator selectively couples the input shaft to the main shaft by rotatably coupling gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. An integrated actuator housing includes a single external power access for the shift actuator. A controller interprets a shaft displacement angle, determines if the transmission is in an imminent zero or zero torque region, and performs a transmission operation in response to the transmission in the imminent zero or zero torque region.
Shift device
There is provided a shift device for a straddle-type vehicle that is configured to cause a transmission device to perform a shift change in accordance with rotation of a shift shaft. The shift device includes: a shift lever provided with an operation portion that is configured to receive a shift operation; a shift sensor provided on the shift shaft so as to be integrally rotatable with the shift shaft; and a shift rod that couples the shift lever and the shift sensor. The shift sensor is configured to detect the shift operation on the shift lever in accordance with a movement of the shift rod. The operation portion and the shift sensor are positioned at the same side in a manner of sandwiching the shift rod in a vehicle side view.
