Control device and control method for vehicle

This control device for a vehicle switches a shift range of an automatic transmission through the use of an actuator, wherein the control device for a vehicle is characterized in being provided with a shift selection unit for receiving a shift position selection from a driver and a control unit for switching the shift range to a parking range through the use of an actuator when a vehicle power source turns off or when a drive power source stops, the control unit maintaining a neutral range, when the vehicle power source turns off or when the drive power source stops, until the elapse of a first prescribed time after the shift selection unit receives a neutral position selection while the vehicle power source is on or while the drive power source is driving.

HYDRAULIC CONTROL SYSTEM OF AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FOR VEHICLE PROVIDED WITH IDLE STOP AND GO SYSTEM

A hydraulic control system of an automatic transmission for a vehicle provided with an ISG system is disclosed. The hydraulic control system may include: a mechanical hydraulic pump driven by an engine; a linear solenoid valve to control hydraulic pressure generated by the mechanical hydraulic pump; a first switch valve to selectively supply or not to supply controlled hydraulic pressure to one of friction members; an electric hydraulic pump driven by electric energy; and a second switch valve to selectively supply the hydraulic pressure, generated by the electric hydraulic pump, to the one friction member or to the linear solenoid valve. The hydraulic control system supplies the hydraulic pressure to one of the friction members operated at a gear stage where starting control is performed.

Preventive measures for a cognitive impaired user

A computing device detects that an ignition switch of the vehicle was activated, wherein the vehicle includes a navigation device. The computing device requests a destination from the navigation device. The computing device interlocking, an operation of the vehicle based on determining that the destination is not valid.

VEHICLE PARK MECHANISM ACTUATION

A vehicle includes an engine and a vehicle park mechanism. The vehicle further includes a controller configured initiate an auto-stop of the engine in response to an auto-stop condition. The controller is further configured to actuate the vehicle park mechanism in response to a driver exit condition and the engine being auto-stopped.

VEHICLE ROLL-AWAY PREVENTION

A brake interlock feature prevents release of the park mechanism unless a driver is depressing the brake pedal. This is intended to prevent the vehicle from rolling following park release. An enhanced brake interlock feature also checks to ensure that adequate brake boost is available to prevent vehicle roll before releasing the park mechanism. The feature may directly measure brake boost or may measure a quantity indirectly related to the availability of brake boost such as engine speed.

NEUTRAL STATE MOVEMENT PROTECTION FOR AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

A controller is provided to, in response to a speed of the vehicle exceeding an allowable speed based on a measured grade while the vehicle is running and in neutral or park, actuating a vehicle holding mechanism to stop the vehicle.

Shift control device

[Object] To provide a shift control device that, in a shift control device of a vehicle equipped with an idling-stop mechanism and a shift-by-wire mechanism, is capable of preventing setting off at a timing that the driver does not expect when returning from an idling-stop state. [Solution] The SBW-CU (40) that constitutes the shift control device (1), in the case of selection information for selecting the R range being output during an idling stop, switches the shift range of the automatic transmission (10) to the R range when the vehicle is braked, and switches the shift range to the N range or the P range when the vehicle is not braked and the shift range of the automatic transmission (10) is the D range. Also, the SBW-CU (40), in the case of selection information for selecting the R range being output during an idling stop, maintains the shift range without switching it when the vehicle is braked and the shift range of the automatic transmission (10) is other than the D range.

System and method for transmission with creeper mode selection

A mechanical creeper mode selection system for a transmission of a work vehicle is provided, in which the transmission includes one or more range modes having one or more range mode shift mechanisms each driven by an electrohydraulic circuit. The system includes a creeper mode selection lever movable by an operator to select a creeper gear range. The system also includes a sensor that observes a position of the creeper mode selection lever and generates sensor signals based thereon. The system includes a controller that processes the sensor data to determine a movement of the creeper mode selection lever and outputs one or more control signals to the electrohydraulic circuit to position the one or more range mode shift mechanisms in a range neutral mode based on the movement of the creeper mode selection lever.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL OF A TRANSMISSION

A recreational vehicle is provided including a power source, such as an engine or an electric motor, and a transmission having a variable gear ratio. A sub-transmission coupled to an output of the transmission includes a plurality of selectable gear configurations including park gear and at least one of a forward gear, a neutral gear and a reverse gear. An electronic controller is operative to electronically control the gear configuration of the sub-transmission in response to a set of conditions.

Transmission for a powertrain system

A transmission includes an input member, a hydraulic pump, a hydraulic circuit, a clutch assembly for transferring torque between the input member and an output member. A mechanically-driven hydraulic pump is rotatably coupled to the input member and is fluidly connected to the hydraulic circuit. The clutch assembly includes a friction clutch pack, a clutch-apply piston, a clutch-release piston and a coned-disc spring. The clutch-release piston is fluidly coupled to a first hydraulic chamber that is fluidly coupled to the hydraulic circuit. The clutch-apply piston is fluidly coupled to a second hydraulic chamber that is selectively fluidly coupled to the hydraulic circuit. A second spring urges the clutch-apply piston and the coned-disc spring urges the clutch-release piston. When the hydraulic pump is not rotating, the clutch assembly is activated by the coned-disc spring urging the clutch-release piston.
