Shift range control device
A shift range control device switches a shift range by controlling a drive of a motor, and includes an abnormality monitoring unit and a torque control command unit. The abnormality monitoring unit detects an abnormality occurrence of an intermediate range stop in which the output shaft to which the drive of the motor is transmitted stops in an intermediate range region. The intermediate range region is a range outside a range guarantee region that guarantees the function of each range. When an abnormality of the intermediate range stop occurs, the torque control command unit commands suppression of the torque applied to the automatic transmission.
MACHINE TRANSMISSION WITH CLUTCH ELEMENT HYDRAULIC CONTROL
A transmission for a machine is disclosed. The transmission may comprise a torque path providing a path for transmission of torque from an input shaft to an output shaft, and a single clutch element along the torque path. The transmission may further comprise a clutch actuator configured to actuate engagement of the clutch element, and a clutch pressure control (CPC) valve configured to permit a flow of hydraulic fluid to the clutch actuator through a control pressure line when in an open position to cause the clutch actuator to actuate engagement of the clutch element. The transmission may further comprise a failure mode response (FMR) valve in the control pressure line between the CPC valve and the clutch actuator. The FMR valve may have a failure position obstructing flow of the hydraulic fluid from the CPC valve to the clutch actuator when the CPC valve is in the open position.

Methods and systems for engaging and disengaging a vehicle park state
Methods and systems are provided for entering into a parked state in a hybrid electric vehicle that includes a dual clutch transmission. In one example, a driveline operating method comprises in response to a first condition, engaging a first gear and engaging a second gear of a dual clutch transmission in response to a request to enter a vehicle park state where an output of a transmission is held from rotating, and in response to a second condition, engaging a third gear and engaging a fourth gear of a dual clutch transmission in response to a request to enter a vehicle park state. In this way, a park state may be entered into without the use of a park pawl, which may reduce costs associated with the vehicle and which may prevent issues associated with degradation of the park pawl.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE, VEHICLE, AND VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD
A vehicle control device includes a belt slippage determination unit which determines whether or not slippage of a belt has occurred based on rotation of a drive pulley and rotation of a driven pulley, an output state determination unit which determines an output state of a sensor that acquires a signal corresponding to the rotation of the driven pulley, and a speed of rotation limitation unit which controls an upper limit of the speed of rotation of the drive source based on the output state of the sensor when slippage of the belt is detected by the belt slippage determination unit.
Control method and system for protecting clutch friction elements of automatic transmission and automatic transmission vehicle including same system
A method and system for controlling clutch friction elements of an automatic transmission is provided. The method includes retrieving information about shift clutches from a data storage unit and acquiring information required to predict a temperature of a friction element for each shift clutch, deriving a predicted temperature value of a friction element for each shift clutch by using the information about the shift clutches and the information required to predict the temperature of the friction element, predicting whether or not overheating occurs for each shift clutch by comparing the derived predicted temperature value of the friction element for each shift clutch with an allowable temperature set for each shift clutch, and determining a target shift stage while avoiding the overheating clutch with a predicted temperature value exceeding the allowable temperature, through switching to an avoidance shift mode.
Variable-speed speed-up mechanism
A variable-speed speed-up mechanism includes: an electric device which is configured to generate a rotational driving force and a planetary gear transmission device which is configured to change the speed of the rotational driving force transmitted from the electric device to a constant-speed input shaft and a variable-speed input shaft and transmit the rotational driving force to a target to be driven via an output shaft. The electric device includes a constant-speed electric motor including a constant-speed rotor which is configured to rotate the constant-speed input shaft of the planetary gear transmission device and a variable-speed electric motor including a variable-speed rotor which is configured to rotate the variable-speed input shaft of the planetary gear transmission device.
Methods and systems for adapting clutches of a vehicle transmission
Methods and systems are provided for controlling clutch capacity in a hybrid electric vehicle. In one example, a method includes adjusting values of a transfer function of a clutch of a dual clutch transmission in response to an operating condition of an engine and/or operating condition of an integrated starter/generator coupled to the engine while a vehicle is propelled via an electric machine coupled to the dual clutch transmission, and maintaining a driver demand wheel torque at vehicle wheels via adjusting torque of the electric machine in response to the operating condition of the engine and/or operating condition of the integrated starter generator. In this way the method may apply pressure to one of the clutches where engine speed is independently controlled to maintain positive or negative slip, thus enabling adaptation of positive and negative clutch transfer functions, which may improve driveline operation and shift quality.
Methods and systems for operating a driveline of a hybrid engine powertrain
Methods and systems are provided for adjusting clutch pressures and electric machine torques as a function of a stability metric threshold(s) in order to balance performance and charging of an onboard energy storage device. In one example, a method includes during an upshift of a transmission from a first gear to a second gear, adjusting a clutch pressure of the transmission to adjust slippage of a clutch in response to a vehicle stability control parameter exceeding a threshold. In this way, torque delivered to a transmission output shaft may be reduced, which may increase vehicle stability.
