An apparatus and method for controlling a transmission of a vehicle, may include a determination device that determines whether a curve is present within a predetermined distance ahead of the vehicle, based on information regarding a road ahead of the vehicle, a calculation device that determines lateral acceleration of the vehicle based on information regarding the curve and information regarding a state of the vehicle and determines a pattern correction coefficient based on the predicted lateral acceleration, a pattern correction device that corrects a preset gear-shift pattern based on the pattern correction coefficient, and a controller that is configured to control the transmission based on the corrected gear-shift pattern when the vehicle enters the curve.

When the ECU determines that the accelerator pedal operation amount deceases greatly in a predetermined determination period from a time point at which a drive wheel slip state occurs in a case where the ECU determines that the road surface changes from the low road surface to the high road surface, it prohibits upshift operation of an automatic transmission over a predetermined period from that time point.

The gear select interlock is implemented in the transmission (2) depending on a rotational speed of the prime mover (1) and depending on synchronous speeds of the gears of the transmission (2).

Systems and methods for managing shift changes of a multi-speed automatic transmission of a vehicle are provided. The multi-speed automatic transmission being capable of establishing a plurality of forward speed ratios. The vehicle may include a transmission shift selector having at least one operator selectable shift request input to request a shift change of the multi-speed automatic transmission. A control circuit operatively coupled to the multi-speed automatic transmission is provided which shifts the multi-speed automatic transmission from a first forward speed ratio to a second forward speed ratio in response to shift criteria. The shift criteria may be based on a plurality of operational characteristics related to the vehicle.
Transmission control system
A transmission control system, which is adapted to be installed in a vehicle body of a two-wheeler, includes a transmission assembly, a mobile device and a transmission controller. The transmission assembly is configured to be disposed on the vehicle body and to perform a gear-shifting operation. The mobile device is configured to be detachably disposed on the vehicle body. The mobile device includes an orientation sensor capable of detecting a current center-of-gravity of the vehicle body to generate a current center-of-gravity datum. The transmission controller is configured to be disposed on vehicle body, to receive the current center-of-gravity datum, to calculate a roll angle variation according to the current center-of-gravity datum, and to output a gear-shift control command according to the roll angle variation. The transmission controller is configured to indicate the transmission assembly whether to perform the gear-shifting operation according to the gear-shift control command.

VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE AND VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD
This vehicle control device 10 is provided with: a current gear stage selection unit 13 which, on the basis of the travel resistance of the vehicle, selects a current gear stage, which is the gear stage of the vehicle in the current travel segment where the vehicle is traveling; a next gear stage selection unit 16 which selects a next gear stage, which will be the gear stage of the vehicle in the next travel segment, forwards in the travel direction of the vehicle, having a road slope different from that of the current travel segment; and a shift control unit 17 which, if during travel of the vehicle in the current travel segment in the current gear stage, the current gear stage selection unit 13 has newly selected a target gear stage higher than the next gear stage, controls shifting such that upshifting from the current gear stage to the target gear stage is suppressed and the current gear stage is maintained. If, in a state in which upshifting is suppressed, the engine rotation speed reaches or exceeds a prescribed value during travel in the current travel segment, the shift control unit 17 controls shifting so as to upshift to the target gear stage without suppression of upshifting.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE AND VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD
This vehicle control device 10 is provided with: a current gear stage selection unit 13 which selects a current gear stage, which is the gear stage of the vehicle in the present travel state; a travel segment determination unit 15 which determines the next travel segment forwards in the direction of travel of the vehicle V; and a shift control unit 17 which, in the case that the current gear stage selection unit 13 has newly selected a target gear stage lower than the current gear stage during travel of the vehicle V in the current gear stage in the current travel segment, if the next travel segment can be traveled in the current gear stage and the amount the vehicle V will lose speed after traveling the current travel segment is less than or equal to a prescribed threshold value, controls shifting of the gear stage such that downshifting from the current gear stage to the target gear stage is suppressed and the current gear stage is maintained. Even in a state in which downshifting is suppressed, if the state of the vehicle the satisfies a prescribed condition, then the shift control unit 17 controls shifting of the gear stage so as to downshift to the target gear stage without suppression of downshifting.
