Driver interface
A vehicle driver interface includes a mode selector, such as a shift lever, and two shift paddles. The shift paddles perform different functions according to which driving mode is selected via the mode selector. In a manual mode, driver activation of one of the shift paddles results in an upshifts and driver activation of the other shift paddle results in a downshift. In a snowplow mode, driver activation of one of the shift paddles shifts the transmission to reverse while driver activation of the other shift paddle shifts the transmission to forward.
Work vehicle
A transmission switching arrangement for a work vehicle includes a forward-reverse switching device having a plurality of hydraulic clutches for switching over a transmission state of a power transmission line including mechanical stepless speed change device, a electronic control unit for controlling operations of the forward-reverse switching device and the mechanical stepless speed change device, a switchover switch for commanding switchover of the transmission state by the forward-reverse switching device, and sensors for detecting a rotational speed of the power transmission line. Upon receipt of a command for effecting the switchover of the transmission state, the electronic control unit compares an output from the sensors with a set speed for transmission state switchover. When the output from the sensors is greater than the set speed, the electronic control unit reduces the rotational speed of the power transmission line and effects the transmission state switchover by controlling pressure of the plurality of clutches.
VEHICLE CONTROL APPARATUS
A control apparatus for a vehicle provided with (a) a transmission and (b) a shifting device including (b-1) a shift actuator and (b-2) a shift lever. The shift actuator establishes one of shift ranges in the transmission such that the established one of the shift ranges corresponds to a selected one of shift-lever operating positions of the shift lever. When a switching request is made to request the transmission to be switched to an opposite-direction drive range that is for driving the vehicle in a direction opposite to a current running direction of the vehicle, during running of the vehicle with a speed being not lower than a given value, the control apparatus rejects the switching request. The control apparatus rejects the switching request, also during running of the vehicle with the running speed being lower than the given value, if the vehicle is running on a downhill road.
Transmission unit for motor vehicles with reverse drive and motor vehicle comprising the transmission unit
The transmission unit (15) for motor vehicle (1) comprises a shaft (23) of the driving wheel, operatively connected to a main drive (19, 97) to control forward drive, and a reverse drive electric motor (21). The transmission unit further comprises a control bushing (47) rotated by the reverse drive electric motor (21), and a driven transmission bushing (63), operatively connected to the shaft (23) of the driving wheel. An actuator (121) is provided for controlling mutual coupling between the control bushing (47) and the driven transmission bushing (63) to transmit the motion of the reverse drive electric motor (21) to the shaft (23) of the driving wheel.
Transmission Control Device
An enhanced control system for an electronic automatic transmission enables the transmission to operate in a full neutral idle, a reverse lockout, and an inching mode. These functions improve the mileage and durability of the operation of the transmission. They also enable the inching mode for use especially in industrial applications.
