The present invention relates to a method for preparing a legume starch with a high content of slowly digestible fraction (SDS), a hydrothermal treatment method characterized in that it comprises the following steps:

1) Preparing a starch milk with a dry matter content of between 30 and 40% by weight, preferably 32% by weight,
2) Heating the starch milk prepared in this way to a temperature 10 to 15° C. lower than its gelatinization temperature,
3) Stirring the starch milk obtained in this way at this temperature for between 45 minutes and 7 hours, preferably between 1 hour and 6 hours,
4) Recovering, filtering and drying the starch milk treated in this way.

A method for providing a two stage diet for an Ulcerative Colitis patient, and therapeutic meals for same, the method comprising stage 1 which is provided in weeks 0-6, and stage 2 which is provided in weeks 7-12; the diet described herein providing dietary components with reduced content of animal fat, dairy products, gluten, taurine, yeast, sulfites, and emsulsifiers.

The present disclosure belongs to the technical field of soft capsules, and particularly relates to a plant soft capsule and a preparation method and application thereof. The plant soft capsule with excellent performance is prepared from carrageenan, starch, a plasticizer and water by controlling the weight-average molecular weight of the carrageenan to be 1.2×10.sup.6 to 2.0×10.sup.6. Compared with a plant soft capsule in the existing technology, the plant soft capsule of the present discourse has lower production cost, and the product quality meets the requirements of gelatin soft capsules; and on the premise of high production efficiency, a low oil leakage rate is achieved, and the rupture time meets United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) standards. The plant soft capsule prepared according to the present disclosure can be filled with an active component as a content and used for preparation of a plurality of drugs, functional food or dietary nutritional supplements.

The present invention provides a nutritional composition for use in glucose management. The nutritional composition comprises one or more amino acids, or combinations thereof, selected from the group consisting of: hydroxyproline, proline, ornithine and alpha-aminobutyric acid, that can be particularly beneficial for children or adolescents for use in glucose management.

Furthermore, the present invention also relates to the use of a composition comprising neohesperidin dihydrochalcone and a cyclodextrin selected from beta-cyclodextrin and gamma-cyclodextrin as taste-masking agent, to a process for masking unpleasant tastes in ingestible products, namely in food products and pharmaceuticals, and to ingestible products which comprise unpleasantly tasting substances and the taste-masking composition.
