FLEXIBLE SEAL FOR GAS TURBINE ENGINE
A coupling adapted for use with a gas turbine engine includes a first flange, a second flange, and a seal assembly. The first flange is coupled with an exhaust end of the gas turbine engine. The second flange is coupled with ducting downstream of the gas turbine engine. The seal assembly extends between the first flange and the second flange and is configured to block the gases from passing radially between the first flange and the second flange.
Air Spring Gaiters With Floating Ring
An assembly for an air spring includes an outer gaiter defined in part by an interior portion, an inner gaiter defined in part by an exterior portion, at least one floating ring extending from a first floating ring end to a second floating ring end, the first floating ring end coupled with the inner gaiter and the second floating ring end is coupled with the outer gaiter, where the at least one floating ring allows the outer gaiter to move relative to the inner gaiter.
Accumulator
An accumulator includes a bellows 3 having a plurality of outer ridge portions and a plurality of inner annular ridge portions and configured to be capable of expanding and contracting, and a housing having a fluid supply port and fixed to one end of the bellows serving as a fixed end. An interior of the housing is partitioned in a sealed state into an inside and an outside of the bellows. The outer annular ridge portions are divided into at least a first sector and a second sector which are distributed in an expansion and contraction direction of the bellows such that the second sector is positioned between the first sector and the fixed end. The outer annular ridge portions included in the first sector have an outer diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the outer annular ridge portions included in the second sector.
Bellows connecting adjacent carriages, in particular carriages of a material handling sorter
A bellows (1) connecting adjacent carriages (3), in particular carriages of a material handling sorter (2) along a predetermined path (P), being robust and reliable, comprises opposite heads (4a, 4b) each being associated with a carriage (3) and a pleated structure (5) with a preset number of substantially M-shaped elements (6) being provided with a plurality of vertices (7), as well as a bearing structure (8) formed by a base structure (8) and by a frame (8) slidingly abutting on the base structure (8) such base structure (8) and such frame (8) being rigid and cooperating with each other, being placed between adjacent carriages inside the bellows (1).
Bellows
A bellows excellent in durability has an accordion shape where crest parts with U-shaped cross sections and trough parts with U-shaped cross sections are repeatedly formed via slope parts, the slope parts leading to the crest part includes first portions, second portions, third portions and fourth portions which are continuously connected, in order, to one another from the crest part toward the adjacent trough parts, and in a free length state of the bellows, a separation distance between the second portions of the both slope parts is longer than separation distances between the first portions and between the third portions.
Air spring having a pleated bellows
A pneumatic spring for a running gear of a motor vehicle, including a pneumatic spring cover and a pneumatic spring piston, wherein a pneumatic spring bellows composed of elastomer material is braced in air-tight fashion between the pneumatic spring cover and the pneumatic spring piston, wherein the pneumatic spring bellows is at least partially surrounded by a sleeve-like outer guide, wherein a corrugated bellows surrounds the pneumatic spring bellows and the outer guide, and wherein, between the outer guide and the corrugated bellows, there is provided a separately formed, air-permeable fastener by which the corrugated bellows is fixed to the outer guide.
LEG EXOSKELETON SYSTEM AND METHOD
A fluidic actuator unit that includes a joint, a first arm coupled to the joint, a second arm coupled to the joint; and an inflatable bellows actuator extending between a first and second plate associated with the joint, the inflatable bellows actuator defining a bellows cavity, the inflatable bellows actuator configured to extend along a length of the bellows actuator when inflated by introducing fluid into the bellows cavity.
Gas seal structure and centrifugal compressor
A gas seal structure includes: a first member with a first flow path where seal gas flows; a second member that is disposed to face the first member and includes a second flow path where the seal gas flowing from the first flow path flows toward a predetermined seal surface; and a communicating pipe disposed across the first and second flow paths. The communicating pipe includes: a first pipe end and a first seal member that are held within the first flow path, a second pipe end and a second seal member that are held within the second flow path, and a flexible pipe that connects the first pipe end and the second pipe end. A rigidity of the flexible pipe end is lower than a rigidity of each of the first pipe end and the second pipe end.
Enhanced gimbal joint for conduits
A gimbal assembly for a flexible conduit configured to convey a medium. The gimbal assembly includes a first component including a first plurality of struts that terminate in a first socket defining a first cavity of a first geometric configuration. The gimbal assembly also includes a second component including a second plurality of struts that terminate in a second socket defining a second cavity of a second geometric configuration. A joint fastener is configured to couple the first socket to the second socket. The joint fastener includes a first portion that geometrically corresponds to the first cavity and a second portion that geometrically corresponds to the second cavity. The first portion is configured to be immovably seated within the first cavity, and the second portion is configured to be movably retained by the second socket such that the first component can rotate relative to the second component.
