Filter clamp lock
Embodiments of the invention provide a clamp lock to secure a clamp around a pressure vessel, such as a split tank pool filter. The clamp lock includes a drive rack with at least one notch, and a housing with a rotatable drive gear, a locking pawl, and a receiving hole. The rotatable drive gear is capable of laterally moving the drive rack through the receiving hole, and the locking pawl is capable of engaging the at least one notch when the drive rack has been inserted a distance into the receiving hole. The distance correlates to a diameter of the clamp sufficient to secure the clamp around the pressure vessel.
Actuated locking system
An actuated locking system for locking a pressurized door assembly is provided. The locking system provides an actuator to position a claw arm having a hook latch in a locked and unlocked configuration. The claw arm may include a base element connected to the door assembly so that the hook latch is adjacent to a cooperating latching notch. The actuator may be connected to the base element on one end and on an opposing end pivotally connected to a pair of boomerang arms, which in turn is pivotally connected to a pair of fork arms, which in turn is operably connected to position the claw arm in the locked configuration and the unlocked configuration.

HYDRAULIC TOOL FOR USE WITH A CLAMP CONNECTOR
A hydraulic tool for use with a clamp connector where a first clamping element and a second clamping element of the clamp connector are pivotable towards each other into a closed position by exerting a pulling force on an operating shaft and a pushing force on a spacer sleeve, and where said first and second clamping elements are lockable in said closed position by tightening a locking nut against a shoulder on the spacer sleeve. The tool includes a pulling element; a hydraulic power unit for moving the pulling element in relation to the spacer sleeve and thereby allow the hydraulic tool to exert a pulling force on the operating shaft and a pushing force on the spacer sleeve; a rotatable actuating member with a socket engageable with the locking nut; and a drive motor for rotating the actuating member to allow the actuating member to rotate the locking nut.
Mid-turbine frame and gas turbine engine including same
A mid-turbine frame for a gas turbine engine ducts gases between a high pressure turbine and a low pressure turbine. The mid-turbine frame may include an outer flowpath ring, an inner flowpath ring, and a plurality of vanes extending therebetween. The outer flowpath ring comprises a unitary structure, while the inner flowpath ring and the plurality of vanes comprises a plurality of segments.

Remotely installed fuel transfer tube closure system
A system, method and apparatus for remotely installing a flange cover assembly on a fuel transfer tube fixed flange in a containment pit in a nuclear power plant is presented. In one example, the flange cover assembly includes J-bolt spring assemblies in which the feet of the J-bolt are rotated between a clamping and non-clamping orientation to engage with the rear face of the fixed flange. A tool frame is lowered into the containment pit to engage with the flange cover assembly to compress the J-bolt springs and extend the J-bolt foot toward and away from the flange cover. Dual acting cylinders move a spring compression frame on the frame tool to compress and relax the J-bolt spring assemblies.
