Information handling system speaker mount under a transparent housing cover

A piezoelectric speaker fits in a cavity of a portable information handling system covered by a transparent cover that defines a speaker chamber within the cavity. The transparent cover integrates wirelines that align power pads with power contacts of the speaker to communicate audible information that generates sounds. In one embodiment, the transparent cover integrates a liquid crystal display that presents visual images associated with generated sound and backlit with illumination provided from the cavity.

Electronic cigarettes may include an electronic cigarette, and a replaceable vaporizer assembly. Electronic cigarette may include a mouthpiece, an E-liquid storage tank, an E-liquid storage tank cover, a cylindrical connector, and a vaporizer mounting base having an internal thread. The replaceable vaporizer assembly may include a vaporizer assembly mounting base having an external thread of the vaporizer assembly mounting base. The replaceable vaporizer assembly may be replaced by removing mouthpiece, rotating cylindrical connector to misalign a first and a second cylindrical connector openings of cylindrical connector against a first and a second vaporizer assembly mounting base openings of the vaporizer assembly mounting base to prevent E-liquid leakage, rotating replaceable vaporizer assembly through vaporizer central air passage tube to detach vaporizer assembly mounting base from vaporizer mounting base, pulling up the replaceable vaporizer assembly, replacing a new replaceable vaporizer assembly, and reinstalling the mouthpiece back in place.

Multi-component aerosol-generating device with impact absorbing part

An aerosol-generating system includes a main body, a cartridge, and a connecting component. The main body includes a main body housing enclosing a power supply. The cartridge includes a cartridge housing enclosing a reservoir of liquid aerosol-forming substrate. The cartridge is releasably connectable to the main body by the connecting component. The connecting component is fixed to the main body housing and is less stiff in at least one direction than the main body housing. The connecting component that is less stiff the main body housing and the cartridge housing can act as a shock absorber when the aerosol-generating system experiences a significant impact, such as when dropped on a surface. This reduces damage to other components of the system and, in particular, may prevent leaks of liquid resulting from damage to the liquid reservoir.

INNER DRILLING RISER TIE-BACK CONNECTOR SEAL
20170234096 · 2017-08-17 ·

An improved seal disposed at an interface of a main body of an inner drilling riser tie-back connector (ITBC) and a subsea wellhead is provided. The seal comprises a main body portion formed of a pair of opposed inwardly projecting fingers having a saw-cut profile at their ends and an outwardly projecting lever arm disposed adjacent to and at an outward angle to one of the opposed inwardly projecting fingers. Under loading the outwardly projecting lever arm imparts a bending moment to the seal, which enhances the seal created between the ITBC and the subsea wellhead and reduces the torque required to disengage the internal tie-back connector

SAFETY AUTOMOBILE WITH RELEASABLE COUNTER-IMPACT PASSENGER COMPARTMENT

A resilient seal for living quarters that is for used sealing around a slide out room that has an aperture slidably receiving a slide out room. The resilient seal has a pair of attaching members extending along the inside and outside surfaces of the main living area wall at the aperture and includes a connecting member that extends between the attaching members and along the edge of the wall defining the aperture. A wiper seal extends from the connecting member for sealing against a wall of a slide out room. A bulb seal is integrally joined to at least one mounting portion that is bendable away from a groove on the mounting portion. The groove may be used for a separate bulb seal connectable thereto in the case the integral bulb seal is cut away. This facilitates replacement of the integral bulb seal.

PRESSURE-ENERGIZED PROBE SEAL FOR FEMALE HYDRAULIC COUPLING MEMBER
20170321833 · 2017-11-09 ·

A probe seal for a female hydraulic coupling member has both internal and external pressure-energized seals. The outer wall or opposing ends of the seal have one or more pressure-energized seals for sealing between the body of the probe seal and the body of a coupling member in which the probe seal is installed. Annular, L-shaped, T-shaped or angled grooves in the inner wall of the seal form cavities and sealing projections that can be urged in an inward, radial direction by fluid pressure within an associated cavity to increase the sealing effectiveness between the body of the seal and the probe of a male hydraulic coupling member inserted in the receiving chamber of the female coupling member.

Flow-type ion selective electrode, electrolyte concentration measuring device using the same, and biochemical automatic analyzer

There is provided an electrolyte measuring device that can decrease a liquid amount used for measurement, in which stable sealing can be provided in connecting passages of ion selective electrodes to each other with no gap, while maintaining high measurement accuracy of an existing ion selective electrode, and a residing sample liquid can be greatly decreased. In a flow-type ion selective electrode, a sealing member is used, which can be brought into intimate contact with a passage connecting unit to near a passage hole. A gap regulating member is provided to keep a gap between the electrodes constant and to prevent the sealing member from being excessively pressed. An electrode case has a structure suitable for the sealing member for allowing the alignment and holding of the sealing member.

Seal Assembly and Fluid Valve

A seal arrangement for a fluid valve has: a first sealing element configured to bear sealingly against a valve housing of the fluid valve; a second sealing element configured to bear sealingly against an adjustable, rotatable, valve body of the fluid valve; and an elastically deformable intermediate piece arranged, axially, between a first wall of the first sealing element, which faces the second sealing element, and a second wall of the second sealing element, which faces the first sealing element, so as to elastically space apart the first and second sealing elements. In at least one axial portion of the intermediate piece, an axial cross section of the intermediate piece has a first radial lateral surface and an opposite second radial lateral surface. The first radial lateral surface is convex and the second radial lateral surface is concave, planar or less convex than the first radial lateral surface.

INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM HOUSING COVER INFLATABLE SEAL

A portable information handling system main housing portion has a transparent cover removeably coupled at an upper surface and sealed with an inflatable seal to aid desired cooling airflow. A pump fills the inflatable seal after the transparent cover closes over the housing and deflates the inflatable seal before release of the transparent cover to an open position. In one embodiment, the transparent cover integrates a liquid crystal display that presents operating condition of processing components visible within the housing through the transparent cover.
