Sealing tool for sealing an opening in an aircraft rib
Seal plates are typically mounted over stringer-receiving openings in aircraft ribs. A sealing tool for sealing a stringer-receiving opening in an aircraft rib is disclosed. The sealing tool includes a seal member arranged to seal a gap formed by the opening between the stringer and the rib. An intermediate member is configured to be adjustably mounted on the rib. The adjustable member receives and aligns the seal member over the gap.
SEALING ASSEMBLY AND TURBOMACHINE INCLUDING SAME
A sealing assembly and a turbomachine including the sealing assembly are provided. The sealing assembly includes a sealing body configured to be inserted into an insertion hole of a second component adjacent to a first component, and a sealing protrusion, formed on one circumferential side of the sealing body, protruding toward one circumferential direction from the sealing body and configured to be inserted into a sealing groove formed on the other circumferential side of a sealing body of the first adjacent sealing assembly, the sealing body of the first adjacent sealing assembly being adjacent to the sealing body in a circumferential direction.
CURVED LOBED SEAL LOCK AIR FILTER SYSTEM
Various embodiments provide for a filter assembly. The filter assembly includes a filter housing, a filter element, and a cover. The filter housing has a first housing end and a second housing end that define an internal cavity. The filter housing has a housing seal member formed on the second housing end. The filter element is disposed in the internal cavity. The filter element includes a filter media, an endplate, and a filter seal member. The filter media has a first media end and a second media end. The endplate is disposed at the first media end. The filter seal member is formed on the endplate. The filter seal member includes an inner seal portion and an outer seal portion. The filter seal member is configured to engage the housing seal member. The cover secures the engagement of the housing seal member and the filter seal member.
SEAL
A seal is disclosed having a pair of side walls, a base extending between the side walls, a first concave surface extending inwardly from one of the side walls, a second concave surface extending inwardly from the other side wall, and a convex surface extending between the first concave and second concave surface to form a rounded peak having an apex. The seal has a seal width defined between the seal side walls, and a seal height defined between the apex of the rounded peak and the base. The width is at least twice the height of the seal. The seal is located in a channel recess of a first component opposite a second component to seal between the first component and the second component, the channel recess having a floor and a height defined between the floor and a surface of the first component in which the channel recess is formed.
