A dust cap for a steering system is disclosed. A dust cap for a steering system, which has an accommodation hole for accommodating a pinion shaft and of which the lower part is coupled to a rack housing, according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a floor surface which extends from the upper part toward the outer side of the accommodation hole; a first rim forming a lateral wall on the edge of the floor surface; a second rim forming an intermediate wall between the first rim and the accommodation hole; and one or more slits insert-formed from the second rim toward the floor surface.

Seal member

A seal for sealing between first and second grooves, the seal comprising a first sealing part for sealing against the first groove and a second sealing part extending from the first seal, the second sealing part having a convex cross-section relative to the seal for providing at least two sealing contact points against the second groove. The second sealing part provides a mandibular structure with chin-like protrusions which may improve conformation to the natural surface irregularities of the sealing surfaces.

A valve disc gasket for use in a fluid flow control valve includes a frustoconical, ring-shaped body part having a plurality of circumferentially distributed asymmetrical, through-going openings and/or slits and/or asymmetrical protrusions, wherein an internal surface of the respective asymmetrical through-going opening and/or slit forms a vane surface and/or wherein an external surface of the respective asymmetrical protrusion forms a vane surface, wherein the asymmetrical through-going openings and/or slits and/or protrusions are asymmetrical at least in the sense that respective through-going opening or slit and/or protrusion is asymmetric relative to any radial plane intersecting the respective through-going opening or slit and/or the respective protrusion. Also disclosed is a fluid flow control valve and a method for cleaning a fluid flow control valve.

Aircraft fuel tank aperture sealing

A seal for sealing an aircraft fuel tank, an aircraft wing rib and stringer sealing assembly, an aircraft wing fuel tank, an aircraft structural wing box, an aircraft wing, and a method of sealing an aperture are disclosed. The seal is for sealing a wing rib to a stringer passing through an aperture in the rib at a variable position in the aperture. The seal includes self-adjustment means to absorb any tolerance when forming the seal, upon the stringer being assembled into the aperture in the rib.

Dual barrier seal

An annular dual barrier seal includes a pair of axially extending inner seal lips and a pair of axially extending outer seal lips, the pair of inner seal lips are connected to the pair of outer seal lips by a radially outwardly extending web portion. The pair of inner seal lips extend axially by a first dimension and the pair of outer seal lips extend axially by a second dimension which is greater than the first dimension. The pair of inner seal lips have a sealing surface that is one of partially toroidal and partially elliptical and that engage the radially inwardly facing first sealing surface and the pair of outer seal lips have a sealing surface that is one of partially toroidal, partially elliptical and conical.

Clamp on seal for water leaks

An apparatus and method for repairing broken, compromised, damaged or cracked conduits is provided. Conduits such as pipes and tubing may bear fluid flows therethrough. Often these conduits are damaged or compromised and begin leaking fluid. A clamp is provided that holds expandable metal securely about the outer circumference of the conduit. The expandable metal may react with any leaking fluid, such as water, thereby expanding and sealing the crack or otherwise seals the compromised conduit in a permanent manner.

FLARE TIP HAVING REDUCED GAS LEAKAGE

At least some embodiments a flare includes a gasket sized and shaped to prevent gas-leakage at the gas slot when pressure of gas entering the flare is below a designed minimum opening pressure that causes the flare bowl to move away from the tip housing. At least some embodiments of a flare includes a diaphragm spring coupled with the flare bowl to assist in movement of the flare bowl with respect to the tip housing to vary an opening dimension of a gas-exit slot defined by the flare bowl and the tip housing.

Seal ring and sealing structure

A seal ring is an annular seal ring which is configured to be interposed between first and second members, and seals a gap between the first and second members. The second member is inserted into the first member, and reciprocates in its axial direction with respect to the first member. The seal ring includes an annular base part, an annular innermost end part, and a widening protrusion part. The annular base part has a radially exterior end to contact the first member. The annular innermost end part is integrally formed with a radially interior end of the base part to contact the second member. The widening protrusion part is integrally formed with the innermost end part, and protrudes with respect to the base part in the axial direction of the second member.
