GRAPHENE EMBEDDED SEAL
Systems and processes for forming seals. The seals have graphene embedded in the seal. The graphene-embedded seals exhibit improved wear resistance over seals without graphene.
SHAFT SEAL DEVICE
The present disclosure provides a shaft seal device. The shaft seal device includes a main body. The main body includes a channel, a first ring part, a second ring part, a liquid flow hole and a diversion structure. The channel passes through the main body, and includes a channel inner peripheral surface. The first ring part and the second ring part are formed on the channel inner peripheral surface. An aperture of the first ring part is greater than an aperture of the second ring part. The liquid flow hole passes through the main body from an outer surface of the main body to a first inner peripheral surface of the first ring part. The diversion structure is disposed on the first inner peripheral surface and is adjacent to the liquid flow hole.
SEALING DEVICE AND DAMPER FOR HYDRAULIC EQUIPMENT
A sealing device for hydraulic equipment according to the invention includes an outer member having an annular shape, an inner member inserted into the outer member, and a seal ring housed in an annular groove disposed in the outer circumference of the inner member and abutting on the outer member to prevent a liquid from passing through a gap between the outer member and the inner member. The annular groove of the inner member has a bottom portion including a recess for restraining axial displacement of the seal ring relative to the annular groove.
POROUS SEAL ELEMENT WITH INTERNAL FLUID PASSAGE
An assembly is provided for rotational equipment. This assembly includes a seal land and a seal element. The seal land extends circumferentially around and is configured to rotate about an axial centerline. The seal element is abutted against and is sealingly engaged with the seal land. The seal element extends circumferentially around the axial centerline. The seal element includes porous material, an exterior surface and a seal element passage. The seal element is configured to flow lubricant from the seal element passage, through the porous material, to the exterior surface.
ROTATIONAL EQUIPMENT SEAL ELEMENT WITH INTERNAL FLUID PASSAGE
An assembly is provided for rotational equipment. This assembly includes a seal land and a seal element. The seal land extends circumferentially around and is rotatable about an axial centerline. The seal land includes a seal land surface. The seal element extends circumferentially around the axial centerline. The seal element includes a seal element surface and a seal element passage. The seal element surface is abutted against and is sealingly engaged with the seal land surface. The seal element passage extends through the seal element to an interface between the seal element surface and the seal land surface.
High pressure compressor seal-ring with improved wear resistance
A compressor seal-ring assembly includes a seal formed of a nickel, cobalt or iron-based superalloy; a counterface positioned for sealing interaction with the seal; and a lubricant coating on the seal, the lubricant coating being formed of a CoCrAlY-containing material.
STUFFING BOX FOR USE WITH RECIPROCAL MOVEABLE PISTON RODS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
Described herein is a packing box for mounting on a machinery shaft. In accordance with one aspect, the packing box housing defines a central opening for insertion of a movable machinery shaft with a hollow passageway surrounding the central opening to form a path for the flow of a fluid coolant. The passageway is provided with a fluid inlet port and a fluid outlet port opening onto the outer surface of the packing box housing, and it is formed by a single conduit or by a plurality of conduits obtained through additive manufacturing process and connected in series or in parallel to wound around the central opening.
Fluid-cooled seal arrangement for a gas turbine engine
A component for a gas turbine engine includes a compartment housing that redirects oil from at least one passage in a rotational component onto a backside of a seal land.
Air-fire seal and assembly comprising such a seal
An air-fire seal designed to be attached to a first tubular member of a turbomachine, such as a bleed duct, and to rest against a second member of the turbomachine, such as an intermediate casing hub, includes an attachment base having an annular shape around a reference axis (Y); a first annular fire-stop lip extending from the attachment base over a first length (L1); and a second annular air-sealing lip extending from the attachment base over a second length (L2) lower than the first length and facing the first lip.
Grease channel for reducing gas permeation into vacuum chambers
A flywheel device includes an enclosure, a top plate that fastens to the enclosure, where the top plate includes a first opening, and a cap, where the cap has a top side and a bottom side, which when fastened to the first opening forms a seal between the bottom side and the first opening, the bottom side including an o-ring groove configured to hold an o-ring, a grease channel concentric with the o-ring groove, and an inlet port configured to enable grease to flow into the grease channel.
