COMPOSITE STRUCTURES FOR RECIPROCATING GAS COMPRESSOR SYSTEMS
A packing case assembly includes a packing cup configured to be disposed along a piston rod of a reciprocating gas compressor system; and a packing ring set disposed in the packing cup, the packing ring set including multiple rings. The packing ring set is configured to be disposed circumferentially around a portion of the length of the piston rod. A backup packing ring of the packing ring set includes a first region including a polymer, and a second region including a metal.
VERTICAL SEALING DEVICE
There is provided a vertical sealing device capable of preventing foreign matter from entering a seal portion from the outside of a machine. In a vertical sealing device with a seal portion axially sealing a rotating shaft provided in a machine and extending in a vertical direction, an annular collar portion which extends in an outward radial direction from a radial gap between a rotational side element and a stationary side element is provided in the rotational side element so as to be located on an outside of the machine with relation to the seal portion.
Hydraulic components and methods of manufacturing
A spiral wound header ring is provided. The spiral wound header ring comprises at least one outer fabric layer and at least one spiral of inner fabric and rubber. The spiral wound header ring further may have a sealing surface that extends from a rearward facing surface to the forward facing annular, radially extending, surface.

Zero-flow fire-resistant thread-lock quick disconnect coupling
A zero-flow thread-lock quick connect/disconnect coupling having male and female couplers that enhance the fire-resistance capability of the coupling in a zero-flow pressurized state. The couplers include a fire-resistant seal assembly including a seal ring and non-metallic backup rings disposed. A first backup ring is made with a high-temperature non-metallic material and is formed as a delta ring for enhancing sealing performance during a fire event. A second non-metallic backup ring is formed as a half-delta ring between first and third backup rings. The third backup ring is made with a non-metallic material that is softer than the first and second backup rings and which abuts the seal ring. The female coupler includes a bearing ring that operatively connects a rotatable threaded support to the coupler body, a protrusion-slot interface between an actuating sleeve and the rotatable support, and a seal in the actuating sleeve for damping and/or debris-resistance.
STUFFING BOX FOR USE WITH RECIPROCAL MOVEABLE PISTON RODS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
Described herein is a packing box for mounting on a machinery shaft. In accordance with one aspect, the packing box housing defines a central opening for insertion of a movable machinery shaft with a hollow passageway surrounding the central opening to form a path for the flow of a fluid coolant. The passageway is provided with a fluid inlet port and a fluid outlet port opening onto the outer surface of the packing box housing, and it is formed by a single conduit or by a plurality of conduits obtained through additive manufacturing process and connected in series or in parallel to wound around the central opening.

Seal device
A sealing device includes a floating ring in a space between the outer circumference of a rotating shaft and the inner circumference of a housing, and a multi-layered cylindrical body including a plurality of elastically deformable cylindrical thin plates layered on top of each other provided between an outer peripheral surface of the floating ring and an inner peripheral surface of the housing, so as to impart a radial restoring force against the eccentricity of the rotating shaft to restore it to its center position, and a tangential damping force to reduce the whirling of the rotating shaft.
RADIAL SEAL SEGMENT JOINT
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a segmented radial seal assembly that includes at least two segments, each segment having a first end and a second end at opposite ends. A first segment first end has a protruding feature and defines a tangential vector from a circumferential ring that is formed by the segmented radial seal. The protruding feature defines a curved face having at least a first axis of curvature that is parallel to the tangential vector. The second segment second end has a recessed feature that is matingly engageable to the first segment first end, thereby forming a first radial seal segment joint. The segmented radial seal assembly is configured to surround a shaft.
